Rabbit Rabbit

Another archive dive today because I went outside, had fun, and took a nap this weekend. Hopefully I will finish what I started on for today, on Thursday! Still deep in the getting ready for my show trenches, but it will be done in the not too distant future!

Oh dear, the Mei-hem twinkies have made Pinky mad. Uh oh.

Bill Watterson remains one of the guiding lights for cartoonists of this era. I thought it would be fun to share this whole story line from the archives. Calvin and Hobbes was a force to be reckoned with, and still is to this day.

I’m sure I will get something new done…eventually. Meanwhile, paintings are happening!

See how quickly I pivoted to the Thursday Archive dive, as if this is ALWAYS how we’ve done it.

Ahhhh….what to concentrate on. I think I’ll just share some ‘toons from the month of May through Panda Chronicles history, which oddly enough, is now 15 years long!

It’s New Year’s Eve EVE!

I’m working on some new ‘toons, but in the meantime, I did some freehand (no pre-drawing) pandas with this ink brush that I’ve been playing with and want to get better at, so I drew some pandas. I also thought it would be fun to post my favorite New Year’s Eve ‘toon!

And of course, the classic, New Year’s Eve with The Panda Kindergarten!

The panda kindergarten at their best…or is that worst?

I’d like to think that next year will be better, but I have no evidence that will be the case. Even if I fail on timely productions of new ‘toons this week, I’ll still be posting stuff from the archives, of which there are about 15 years worth. Wow! How did that happen?

Anyway, I hope we continue to survive!

One of my intentions for this year, is to not stress myself out if from time to time I don’t get a second ‘toon done for my regular schedule. This is one of those days.

Fortunately, I have an excellent blast from the past for you! I have been doing these ‘toons long enough that we have reached another Year of the Dragon in the Lunar New Year calendar! Even before Pinky made her first appearance here, the Panda Kindergarten was chewing up the scenery (sometimes literally!)

When I don’t have a planned theme for Sunday’s panda ‘toon Palooza, I sometimes randomly spin the date listing wheel and see what comes up. Maybe that will suggest a theme, or maybe I’ll just find some of my all time favorite ‘toons! Next week we return to Daylight Savings time, so that is a good place to start…

It is the Birthday Season of The Wu Self!

One of the first long stories I wrote, was the one where Mr. Wu runs off to join the circus with the panda kindergarten. I think it was his first meeting with Bee, the Bear. Since it is Mr. Wu’s birthday season, I thought it would be fun to have an encore presentation of the whole story.
