As I finish up my work for my upcoming show, I find I need to lean on the archives a little bit more. Of course that means you get a BUNCH of ‘toons instead of just one, so not all bad!

It means that Pinky is going to palm off her little darlings, Four and Five, off on her parents for fun times at Camp Grandmei!

I was reminded, by the travesty that happened at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue last weekend of a ‘toon I did back in 2018. “So absurd!” I thought! “Nothing like this could ever happen!” I foolishly concluded.

Sorry, it’s been another crazy busy week, but I’m making progress on exhibition stuff, and hopefully I’ll have a bit more relaxed week next week. Hahahahahahahahaha!
Since we are coming up on Mr. Wu’s birthday season next month, I thought I’d share one of the Mr. Wu Stories, with more coming in the next couple of weeks. I can’t believe he’s going to turn 14 this July!!!! That does not seem possible.

I’m still deep in the painting trenches, but it was getting a little crazy around here, what with Four and Five running up and down the stairs, talking back to their mother and wrapping their GrandTian around their little paws!
Life out in the real world gets crazier every day. I hope a visit with Pinky’s twin girls takes you out of it for a bit!

Another archive dive today because I went outside, had fun, and took a nap this weekend. Hopefully I will finish what I started on for today, on Thursday! Still deep in the getting ready for my show trenches, but it will be done in the not too distant future!
Bill Watterson remains one of the guiding lights for cartoonists of this era. I thought it would be fun to share this whole story line from the archives. Calvin and Hobbes was a force to be reckoned with, and still is to this day.
I’m sure I will get something new done…eventually. Meanwhile, paintings are happening!

BTW, I have finally unearthed my work station in the felty studio and probably late summer or early fall start making some more things.
Sad how much things don’t change when it comes to Mittens. They just get worse.
I think this was when they went on their first vacation to Alaska after moving in to the Panda House.
Oddly enough, even in 2026, Mittens STILL hasn’t accepted the results of the 2020 election.
