Well, well, well..what have the little darlings been up to since Pinky dropped the twins at her mommie’s house and skedaddled for parts unknown? She SAID she was going to DC for Binky Li’s birthday, but she hasn’t made it there yet.

But in the meantime, Camp Grandmei is going about how you might expect.

How could you be mad at such little angels?

It’s Time for Another Visit to Camp GrandMei!

Is there anything like summer camp? I mean…is there anything good about summer camp? I guess it depends on who the campers are and who are the counselors…

I’m still trying to get back into the swing of things here back at The Institute for Contemporary Panda Satire. I think I’m finally in the right time zone, but my schedule is not quite back to normal yet. Did anything happen while I was gone? No…never mind…I don’t think I want to know.

Camp GrandMei Part 2

Word Press (or probably their version of A.I. gave me a writing prompt that I thought was kind of funny:

If you had to be an animal for a week, what would you be?

Um…duh? Also, only for a week?

But I digress. Before I went off on my globe trotting adventures, I started a story about Pinky’s twins being shipped off to their grandparents for an undisclosed length of time. (Mei Xiang: EXCUUUSE ME? WHAT length of time did you say????) You can read the first installment HERE, because it’s been a little while…

We now return to our story…

We are finally having a little rain here, which is a good thing since it’s been so dry. Our thoughts go out to our friends and neighbors in the north, who are having yet another summer of fire and smoke. I hope you are able to evade the flames and stay safe.

It was very nice to be away and avoid the nooz as best I could, but alas. I am back and reality has come crashing down, although I am trying to avoid the anxiety spiral. Pandas help. So does the adorable little Linh Mai (sp?) heffalump at the National Zoo. She is almost as cute as a panda!

It’s Summer and You Know What That Means!

It means that Pinky is going to palm off her little darlings, Four and Five, off on her parents for fun times at Camp Grandmei!

What could possibly go wrong?

I was reminded, by the travesty that happened at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue last weekend of a ‘toon I did back in 2018. “So absurd!” I thought! “Nothing like this could ever happen!” I foolishly concluded.

Sigh…

Things are about as real as they can get.

I’m still deep in the painting trenches, but it was getting a little crazy around here, what with Four and Five running up and down the stairs, talking back to their mother and wrapping their GrandTian around their little paws!

The Day You’ve All Been Waiting for!

That’s right! it’s Panda Chronicles Outfit Day for Pinky’s young twins, Four and Five! If the conversations in the private Panda Improv chats is anything to go on, they are going to be an even bigger handful that Pinky herself, or, dare I say their names, Six and Sebben!

I’m sure you’ve been anxiously awaiting what the girls are going to wear, so let’s just get right to it, okay?

What do ya think? I think they are just the thing for the active young cubbies.

No Kings Nopety Nope Nope Nope!

With all the terrible things that F45 is doing out in the real world, we needed a really nice day and we got it on Saturday at the 3200 + worldwide #NoKings events that took place this past Saturday. I was at our local one, and it was rocking by the time I got there. I had to park WAY down the road because there were so many people there.

It wasn’t like the big cities, but one of the interesting things to me is that were about an additional 800 events as compared to the one in October. And there were reports and photos from some rallies being held in very R heavy areas. I find this very encouraging, in a time when not much else is.

Of course, the most important and accurate reporting on the #NoKings rallies comes from…you guessed it…

ZooNooZ!!!!

Red pandas have an anger management problem!

Will we survive until the tide turns against Mittens? I don’t know, but I’m gonna keep fighting. As long as we have pandas on our side, how can we fail?

One Final Pand-o-Lympic Event!

The Winter Olympic Games are finished for one more year, and I bet Milan and Cortina (all of Italy, in fact) is happy to see the exits of JD, Ka$h, and their multitudes of black armored SUVs clogging up the tiny ancient streets of the cities.

Also, it was reported that JD had an entire cargo plane that brought FOOD in. I mean…are they more afraid of eating the best food in the universe, or that he is so universally despised, he wanted to make sure no one poisoned him?

Anyway…Four and Five are finally making their long awaited skating debut, along with their big sister, Princess Pinky Junior, in the rarely seen, but always admired Pair and a Half skating competition!

Aren’t ya proud of me I managed to get 2 new ‘toons done this week?
