PANDALANTA NOOZ!!!!!!!

Nooz has just been received at The Institute for Contemporary Panda Satire, that Zoo Atlanta has just signed a new contract with the Chengdu Panda Base to bring a new pair of pandas to Pandalanta! The new pandas are Ping Ping (not the one I met at Gengda in 2017, but STILL!!!) and Fu Shuang.

I guess it was a good thing I was too tired last night to set up an archive pandapalooza, because now we have a theme for today’s dive into the archives!

We bring you PANDALANTA PANDAS PAST AND (UP TO) THE PRESENT!

Of course there was some amount of rivalry between Pinky and the Meihems, but sometimes they cooperated on projects…

It’s panda birthday season for all pandas, but especially for the US born pandas!

And to start out the season, Happy 9th Birthday to the Meihems!!!

Born on July 15th of 2013, more than a month before Pinky, and don’t think they ever let her forget it! Here are some of my favorite ‘toons featuring Bert and Ernie (and probably Pinky, just because!) Can you believe the Meihems and Pinky are about to turn 9?!?!?!?!

Pand-O-Lympics Finale!

The actual Olympics may have ended weeks ago, but time has no meaning here! Here with the final event, are our favorite pairs of twins, The Meihems and their…um…”differently behaved” younger zizzies, Six and Sebben!

I don’t know why I didn’t think of it sooner, but you can’t have “Zoom Meetings” without the ZOO!

Six and Sebben have gotten their first Panda Scout merit badges!!!

There are so many stories to get to! And I’ve left Frank and Mikey wandering around Alaska, looking for their family. Sigh…I’m sure I’ll track them down…eventually.

Meanwhile, western Washington is experiencing record temperatures! Stay cool, everyone!

Not only is today the next to last day of my Put a Panda on it 3.0 Kickstarter project, it is also, the 6th birthday of the Meihems! Huzzah! Let there be cake!

Meanwhile, You Know Who continues to embarrass us in the UK (which according to him, is known by many names, but most people don’t know that.) I’m surprised the Queen did not give him his tea in a “to go” cup. I don’t know what is going to happen when he meets Poot’n tomorrow, but I can’t imagine it will be good.

Best to keep watching panda videos. I hear they are very relaxing.

No, Pinky has not taken her rightful place as Presydent of the Untied States. Nor has Ping Ping learned to speak American Panda. (Ping!!!) No! Today is the day that Six and Sebben get their Panda Scout uniforms!

Twinkies 2.0

Lun Lun is now the reigning Hero Mom Rock Star of the U.S. pandas, bypassing previous record holder Bai Yun of San Diego by the – some would say nefarious dirty trick- of having not one, but TWO sets of twins, for a seven cubby total lifetime achievement award!  I never got to actually meet the Meihems, Well, we are not going to let that happen again, so I have made plans to meet the Twinkles 2.0 this very month! Stay tuned for a report, but in the meantime…
