You asked for it, and you got it! But is this the end? ZooNooz thinks not! We have just received word that officials have decided to attempt a sting operation, wherein they use undercover zebras to lure the remaining two zebras on the loose! Is this another of Pinky’s selfie fundraising schemes?

While there has been some well deserved criticism on how some journalists cover the various presidential administrations, ZooNooZ has always been right on the money, if we do say so ourselves. We should point out that this segment was filmed BEFORE Bob went out on assignment to interview the zealot zeal of zebras that is currently running amok in suburban Maryland. Just in case you were thinking that Bob escaped unscathed. There was definitely scathing.
We are impatiently waiting for the proofs of The Panda Chronicles Book9: What could Possibly go Wrong? to arrive! We will announce it the minute it is available for purchase. Pretty exciting, huh?
And as if I didn’t have enough to do, I volunteered to make some ‘toons in support of a local school board race. I don’t think I have to tell any of the followers of The Panda Chronicles that our political nightmare is not yet over. Even now, the sedition caucus in the Senate was trying to downplay the level of threats and aggression (and sometimes violence) that is happening at school board meetings around the country. I’ll be sharing the ‘toons from the Politics on the Prowl series after they have run in whatever format the campaign uses to share them.
I urge you not to put your head under the covers and sing la-la-la I can’t hear you, as much as we may want to. Please check your voter registration at your state voter portal, spend 10 minutes reading up on the candidates and VOTE this November (or as soon as you receive your mail in ballot.)

We are in the tail end of September (How the heck did THAT happen????) which means that it’s almost October, and you know what that means! It’s almost time for our annual rebroadcast of The Wizard of Wu!!! Once upon a time, a long looooong time ago (when there were only 3 major networks to choose from!!!!) The Wizard of Oz was rebroadcast every year right around Halloween.
This was so long ago, that when I first started watching this movie, we only had a black and white TV, so even when they got to Oz, it was still all in black and white. Eventually we got a color TV and I was so excited to watch the annual encore presentation of The Wizard of Oz, because IT WAS GOING TO BE IN LIVING COLOR!!!! Imagine my surprise, when the first and last part WERE STILL IN BLACK AND WHITE!?!?!?!?!?!?!
I guess only Oz gets to be in color. Any of you who live in Kansas…is it still that way?
No matter…we just need to kill a little time until next Sunday when The Wizard of Wu will come to you in several parts, followed by A Halloween Carol (starring PINKY!!!!)

While the panda birthday season continues (Yang Yang of Zoo Atlanta just had his birthday this week) we have finished with the major birthdays in The Panda Chronicles personalities, so that leaves me with a round up of ‘toons from Septembers!
But never fear! October is just around the corner and we will have our annual broadcasts of The Wizard of Wu and A Halloween Carol, two of my favorite stories!

You might remember earlier this year there was a nooz story about some elephants that went walkabout in China. Well, they went here, and they went there, but apparently they are heading back home, wherever that is.
As you may recall, Bob went to interview them when they were on their journey! And now that they seem to be headed in the other direction, they made a stop at the ZooNooZ studios!

Yet more animals in the NooZ! This time, a gang of swearing parrots were brought to the Lincolnshire Wildlife Park, only to have their cozy little group broken up! You can read all about it here!
I’m sure this is completely unfair to the parrots!
I know we’re all feeling a bit swear-y still! Who can blame them?

My alert friends and readers are always making sure I’ve heard of all the stories of animals misbehaving around the world. These stories almost never disappoint, and this one is no exception!
A herd of about 15 asian elephants have been running amok in towns and farmlands in south Yunnan province, where most of the endangered elephants live. They don’t know why these elephants have gone on walk-about, and they are trying to find a suitable place for them to settle.
Of course, the intrepid roving reporter at ZooNooZ is on the scene!
We are in the midst of a heat wave here in the upper left coast! Temperatures in Seattle and Portlandia hit over 100, but here on a small island off in the Puget Sound, we have managed to stay below 100 (at 99) I hear there is not a fan to be found, or an air conditioner, so I am getting up close and personal with every ice pack in the freezer! Temperatures are predicted to drop over night, which will be a welcome relief!

Who was it that said “everyone’s entitled to their own opinion. They’re not entitled to their own facts.”? Whoever said that, they got it totally right. Unfortunately there is still a large (too large) group of people who either believe the former guy is still “president” and a group that pretends to believe it because they think that stance will benefit them.
Sigh…
There is no rest for those of us who would kind of like democracy to continue being the philosophy of this country. Not that we can’t be better at it, because we can and should be, but a one party authoritarian state would definitely not be an improvement!
