And Now, For Our Rendition of Bear d’Lune…

This news story came across the transom a few weeks ago, but what with all the criming and corruption coming out of DC, It got a little distracting around here. You knew we would not let this story go unremarked upon, by our favorite grizzly correspondents, recently returned from their bus driving adventures!

And now, BearNooZ presents….

Maybe the bear was a fan of Phillip Glass…

Sock Update!

I just got word that panda socks are headed for the PGS warehouse, which means they should be in my hot little hands by Friday December 6th! If I’ve already received your paid invoice via PayPal, the socks will be headed your way the following week. If you have not yet responded to your invoice, do it now, so you’ll get your socks before Christmas!

Bears Will Be Bears!

I just heard a news story on the radio the other morning about grizzly bears still being on the endangered species list. This, of course, made me think about everyone’s favorite grizzly bears, Frank and Mikey! Be assured, I am working on some new ‘toons for them which will show up in a few weeks, because, as you might imagine, they have opinions about this development!

While generally speaking, we are all on team panda, rumor has it, there are OTHER bears out there too!

So to celebrate our upcoming ‘toons starring Frank and Mikey, here are some Sunday Funday ‘toons about bears!

Today, you are a bear.

Oh those polar bears! What jokers they are!

Thanks again to Henry Nicholls for alerting me to this story

Lookee! It’s Frank and Mikey!

Send in the bears!

Helloooooo bears!

Be the Bear, ebbryone!

Welcome back US Congress!

It’s January 3rd and the US Congress is back in business, even if #Individual1 is still keeping the government shut down. (I’m writing this a few days before this post release, so there is always hope that all the government workers will get their jobs-and their paychecks-back before today.) Individual 1 may be under the false impression that Robert Mueller can’t work on the investigation, or other potential perils to the “president” can’t proceed. Ha!

A big pandy shout-out to all the brand new house members, particularly those who ran because they passionately wanted to make life better for those who have not had equitable representation before. Thank you for stepping up to the plate!

But enough about real life! Let’s get on with some pandas! (and cats!!!!)

Don’t forget Frank and Mikey!

PS: Just a reminder, there is no more Fabulous Furry Friday. (SAD!!!!) Encore presentations will now appear on Sundays. (Huzzah!!!!) And also a reminder that FB is becoming more and more capricious in what they show you in your news feed. If you don’t want to miss a single second of panda satire, sign up on the website via the FIRST sign up form on the top of the right hand sidebar, that says: Invite Pandas to your inbox. You’ll be glad you did!

New ‘toons will arrive on Tuesdays and Thursdays! Buckle up! Pandas are ready to prove that they are the most political animals out there!

Speaking of a Cuppycake Trap

Wait? WERE we talking about a cuppycake trap? Well, cuppycake trap, perjury trap, it’s kind of all the same thing, isn’t it? Thanks to one of my alert readers, who was the first (yes, Lora, several people brought this story to my attention, but you were the first!) to tell me about this story. Even though we all know that bears that get habituated to humans, always ends up being bad for the bears, who doesn’t love the idea of a bear doing this:

“If they didn’t want me to eat the cuppycakes, they shouldn’t have left them there!”

“I’ll have one of these, and one of these, and one of these, and one of…”

The bear was not caught this time, but the sad fact is, this bear now has a taste for frosting and he will probably come back for more. I don’t know what the solution is. We have expanded where we humans live and so bears are being crowded out of their habitats and the collision (as opposed to collusion) is inevitable. In Colorado a bear who recently broke into the Post office was euthanized because it was his third human encounter. More than 160 bears have been killed because of people/bear encounters in Colorado in 2017.

Um…is it okay that he ate all the cuppycakes because they were vegan?

Panda On!

And a Fabulous Furry Friday to Yoo Too!

Whew! It’s been a busy birthday season here at The Institute for Contemporary Panda Satire! It is entirely possible that we’ve had about as many cuppycakes as we can stand (NO! There can NEVER be too many cuppycakes!) So, for this Fabulous Furry Friday we celebrate…

All things CUPPYCAKE!!!!!

Cuppycakes in art!

let there be cake!

31 days

Oh come on…hasn’t that ever happened to you? One minute there are two dozen cuppycakes just sitting there, and the next minute they’re gone?

I have extra frosting!

can’t I have just one more cuppycake?

Well, that was fun! And when I searched for ‘toons about “cake” I found so many that we might have to do this again next week! So until then, remember to:

Stand on your cake
Defend your cake against mommee
Try not to get frosting on your fur.

Panda on and tune in for the next episode of Being Endangered is SUCH a Curse! It’s getting really exciting, huh? Until then, here is a video of a bear playing the piano!
