Sock it to MEEEEE!

Ha ha! Who ever thought that socks with the Panda Chronicles all stars would be so flipping popular???? Certainly not me. I thought I’d have a nice, relaxed response, and that most of the orders would come in once the socks had arrived. Pinky’s socks sold out by the 2nd day, before I’d even had a chance to notify everyone, and as I write this, Bubba’s are all but gone too. There still are about 15 pairs for the Panda Kindergarten, which, quite frankly, are my favorites.

Update: Bubba’s last sock has been snapped up!

Needless to say, I will be heading back to the drawing board and designing some NEW socks, and…sigh…I guess Pinky will get another pair. I was kind of thinking about the baby Pinky Christmas design I did a while back….

Meanwhile, 31 Days of Pandas is almost upon us!

So, what I’m thinking is, that besides the regularly scheduled new ‘toon days (Tuesday and Thursday) and the Encore Presentation day (Sunday) on the other days, I will share some of my new design ideas for socks and stickers, as well as maybe some process sketches for a picture book I am working on, about Bee, the Bear.

Meanwhile, Frank and Mikey (your favorite grizzly bears!!!) are back once again…

Obviously, this is a tribute to one of the greatest radio shows ever, Car Talk! Every Saturday morning, I had a date with Tom and Ray, and ya know, if you kind of think about it, Frank and Mikey are a lot like them!

What with all the excitement (IMPEACHMENT!!!!) and all the crazy-making BS that’s going on in DC (IMPEACHMENT OBSTRUCTION!!!!) I plum forgot that I had not run my favorite seasonal Panda Kindergarten cartoon last Sunday. I hope you all are not showing up an hour ahead (or is that behind?) of time all this week, due to my thoughtless error.

The other excitement is that I have launched my Panda Chronicles Sock Design project this week, and people are putting their best (panda) foot forward! Panda Chronicles socks, you say? When did you decide to do that?

Um…last week?

Be sure to head over to the Buy Stuff With Pandas page to see our current designs. Each design will be a limited issue, and depending on how many people want to step out in (panda) style, will determine how many I order. Unlike Kickstarter, where I don’t order the items until the project has closed, with something this open ended, I can’t take people’s money then leave them hanging as to when delivery will happen.

I this case, I decided it was worth taking a gamble on 3 designs, with 50 pairs in each design. As you might have surmised, Pinky is far and away the most popular (Pinky: duh!) but the other designs are holding their own. I hope you will want to add Panda socks to your wardrobe, and might I add that these would be socks that anyone would be happy to receive as a holiday gift!

A Note on Panda Commerce: As you may know, I am a one bear band (not the Band-a-Pandas, but that gives me an idea for another pair of socks!!) This means I am not on the computer all the time. (Well, some days it may seem like I am, but really…) As the quantities tick down to 0, you might get nervous if you don’t hear back from me immediately. Don’t worry. I can see the order that the messages come in, and will contact you and send the invoices in that order. In other words, if you haven’t heard from me, no one else has either! Doesn’t that make you feel better?

You know how much I hate hypocrisy. Well, if you didn’t, you should. There is all sorts of nasty behavior going on in and around the WH. And I mean nasty in the sense of crimes that would be held accountable at the International Court in The Hague, nasty. And while this sort of thing makes my head want to explode, the petty hypocrisy of the tRUmpinistas is beyond the pale.

We have the descendants of He Who Would Be King acting all shocked and outraged over Hunter Biden profiting from his family name, while they are making deals and getting trademarks and god knows what else because…well, let’s see… is it their prodigious talent? Or MAYBE, could it be that their father thinks he is “president”?

I hope this will be over soon, don’t you?

Hey! Who wants PANDA SOCKS???? (Speaking of profiting from my connections…)

I got an email last week from the folks who make my pins and patches, and they are now are making socks available! They are one size unisex socks and they are 87% polyester/ 10% cotton/ 3% spandex. There is some stretchiness factor here, and while I haven’t seen any samples, (Ha Ha! It’s only money!) I decided to take a leap of faith and order 50 pairs each of three designs.

Panda Commerce Alert!!!

Hey guys! I just got an email from the folks that make my pins, and they are expanding their product lines into SOCKS!!!! I am working on some designs, but if anyone thinks they might be interested in getting some Panda Chronicles socks, please speak up! I’ll share more info soon, but just wanted to put this out there.
 
I’m thinking about a Pinky themed sock pair, and Bubba themed! More to come if there is interest. Please chime in, in the comments, if you think this is a good idea. I’m also working on setting up a little store with remaining pins and patches.

GOP: You have to hold a vote on impeachment or it’s not real!
DEMS: No we don’t. It says in the Constitution that if we say it’s an Impeachment investigation, that’s what it is.
GOP: We will hold our breath and scream and kick our feet until you do!
DEMS: Go Ahead.

DEMS: Now that we’ve had out investigation, we’re going to hold a vote, so we can agree on rules and procedure for the public hearings and reports.

It looks like we are getting a treat today, although, I’m sure that 45 and his band of like minded GOP goons have more than a few tricks up their sleeves. I’m pretty sure that the vote on the next phase of the Impeachment inquiry won’t make them happy, and they will commence to activate more delaying tactics and cries of “UNFAIR!”

The phrase “be careful what you wish for” springs to mind!

I can’t believe Bob’s costume didn’t fool anyone!

Will our national nightmare ever end? Just when we think we MUST have hit bottom, we find out there are yet depths that HWMNBN can sink to. All I can say is, if I am to go into a dissidents camp for dissenters to the reign of terror, I hope I get to be in one with Joyce White Vance. She’s smart, she’s funny, and who would ever have thought that a former prosecutor would have groupies?

Of course, you know who had to drop in with more comments. In this case, I think he has a good point.

Frank and Mikey, the most popular grizzly bears on the internet are back again! I know you will be happy to hear that they have a new show coming up in just a few weeks, especially since there is absolutely nothing going on in the news these days…hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Ahem…Hey, did you know that the Constitution is a big phony? That’s what HWMNBN has said (“people are saying”) and if people are saying it, it must be true, right? [insert eye roll emoji here] What’s that sound? Why it’s the sound of my head as it hits repeatedly on the desk, that’s what it is.
