One Final Pand-o-Lympic Event!

The Winter Olympic Games are finished for one more year, and I bet Milan and Cortina (all of Italy, in fact) is happy to see the exits of JD, Ka$h, and their multitudes of black armored SUVs clogging up the tiny ancient streets of the cities.

Also, it was reported that JD had an entire cargo plane that brought FOOD in. I mean…are they more afraid of eating the best food in the universe, or that he is so universally despised, he wanted to make sure no one poisoned him?

Anyway…Four and Five are finally making their long awaited skating debut, along with their big sister, Princess Pinky Junior, in the rarely seen, but always admired Pair and a Half skating competition!

Aren’t ya proud of me I managed to get 2 new ‘toons done this week?

The days are just too short…what with all the making other art and napping and everything. But here are some more Winter Olympics ‘toons for your enjoyment!

Well that’s it for Pand-o-lympics past! I’ll keep working on some new ‘toons for this year, even though the Olympics (the real ones, any way) are almost over! But what is time to a panda?

But the good nooz is, I have lots of Pand-Olympics ‘toons from Olympics past, so let’s get right to them, shall we?

I keep hearing the song “bears on the Run” going through my head…the ski run, that is!

There is something about pandas and ski jumps, isn’t there. Kinda like

I hope this was a fun look back at panda participation in Winter Olympics past! Who says pandas aren’t natural athletes?

I know there is a lot of terrible stuff going on right now (let me count the ways…) but we gotta hang in there and panda on. I hope this visit to the Panda Winter Olympics helps you make it through the day.

The Visit Continues: Greenlandia Part 3

Oh my…I got all caught up in a lost password for another website and forgot I still had to post today’s ‘toon! It’s been a bit of a poo show out there, between non-repentant sex pest criminals and gestapo like tactics on the streets on Minneapolis.

For joy, I am watching figure skaters at the Olympics. What form! What grace! I tried watching some downhill skiing, but it made my knees hurt just watching them, not to mention make me very anxious, especially after Lindsay Von wiped out. Ouch!

Maybe for Thursday, I’ll replay some of the Panda Olympics greatest hits!

Meanwhile…

The 2022 Olympic Games have begun, so while Team Panda ties their skate laces, finds their way to the ski slopes and loads up the front of their Bob-sled..oops…I mean bribe the judges…um…that wasn’t us…

It just wouldn’t do to have unauthorized persons (or pandas!) spy on the practice sessions that Team Panda is holding to make sure they are ready to go for the gold! The pandas have a long history (well, since 2008) of competing in the Olympics, and this year is no different.  And now, from an undisclosed location …

Hey! What are you two doing up on top of the ski jump?

Interestingly enough, We just watched the movie about Eddie the Eagle, the young British man who was so fixated about competing in the winter olympics, that he, through great resolve and personal pain and difficulty, managed to train in ski jumping, and while he didn’t come close to winning, it was a very inspiring story about following a dream. It’s out on video, so watch it if you get the chance.

Move over Giant Panda Global Awards! THIS is where the money is! The Torch Bears ! The most coveted honor in all of Pandyland is to be selected as Torch Bears for the Panda Olympic Games! Needless to say, the competition is very fierce and there is ample opportunity for skullduggery!

I can hardly STAND the suspense! Tell us, won’t you please, who will be this year’s Torch Bears …

Okay…we are going to keep you in suspense just a little while longer! But never fear! We will tell you…um…sooner or later!

BTW, Did anyone watch Bebe Maurice’s debut yesterday? I believe Pinky has some serious competition in the attitude/icon department. Just saying.

I love fabulous Furry Friday and the encore presentation idea. Yes, it’s a way to post a third dose of panda satire, without having to do…um…any more work, but readers tell me they love it because it’s fun to see their favorite ‘toons again, while those who are new to the world of panda satire get a chance to get acquainted with the gang!

Another Fabulous Furry Friday!

Lance Armstrong has been in the news again, what with his tell all interview with Oprah Winfrey airing this week.  The TV reception here at the panda den is virtually non-existent, so we don’t know if he copped a plea or not.  It did remind us of something that happened in Pandyland during the last Winter Olympics, so that inspired us to choose the following cartoon for our encore presentation this week. (For some reason, almost everything reminds us of …um…us. Go figure.)
