Be afraid! be very afraid!

It’s really hard not to be. This very week You Know Who dissed Canada and Unka Justin (I mean really???? As If!!!) and after he had such a schmoopy meeting with France’s Macron just a few weeks ago. Allegedly, he needs to go play a few rounds of golf at an exclusive golf club prepare for his meeting with N Korea in Singapore. Auntie Loosilly, lock up the silverware and hide the pandas!

So how are the DC pandas preparing for whatever comes next?

Move over Ping! I’m coming in too!

It’s Fabulous Furry Friday!

Instead of a news dump, let’s have a panda dump!

Um…that did not come out exactly right. But while I have your attention, this is as good a time as any, to remind you that it can be Fabulous Furry Friday (Gateway to the weekend!) EVERY DAY at your house!

Isn’t this just perfectly pinky?

How? You may ask! How can every day be a festival of pandas in my very own house? Do I need to stock up on cuppycakes? Can I stay in my pajamas? Pandas in my pajamas! What could be better? Remember, buying my books helps to keep the panda satire coming your way!

Yes, it’s time for Mei Watch, once again!

Yes, we are now officially on Mei Watch. A recent hormonal check by the zoo panda keepers revealed that she is showing an elevated hormone level, which means that either she will actually have a cubbie, or she is faking it  for the extra cuppycakes. Time will tell! This could be the last cubbie in the US for a while, as Bai Yun and Lun Lun have both retired and are enjoying a well earned rest.

Could Mama Mei Xiang really be contemplating letting Pinky loose on the pandy kindy?

You can see while Mei Xiang might be contemplating a calmer, more peaceful life.

If you think that maybe elephants never forget, they have nothing on pandas.

And speaking of keeping me in ink and paper, (What? Who was talking about that?) Did you know that my original cartoons are available for you to own? Yes they are! As long as they are already published in one of my books, they are ready to frame and purchase and come live with you! They come complete with all the ink splotches (not that many) and pencil smudges(only a few). What a trip down Mei’s Mommee Memory lane! Would it be any wonder if she declines to have a cubby this year? What if she has twins? What if they are both like Pinky?????

If Only We Could Forget Reality

Wouldn’t it be nice to forget reality for even one day?

Well, what the heck do you think we were doing on Friday with all those ‘toons of adorable panda twins? I mean, while we were getting all schmoopy when we saw how nice the Meihems are to their little sisters, He Who Must Not Be Named was playing footsie with the head of N. Korea’s cyber warfare department. Probably showing him how clever all his passwords are and how easy it was to avoid the intelligence departments.

And I’m pretty sure he hasn’t forgotten about his military parade…

The Pandas Debut in Calgary

Yes, Toronto’s loss is Calgary’s gain! The Pandas have packed their toys, driven the U-Haul across the prairies to the north and arrived in the fair city of Calgary! In honor of the debut of ERShun, Da Mao and the kids, Jia Pan Pan and Jia Yue Yue, I thought I’d rerun some of the ‘toons they starred in!

Let’s start at the beginning…

The long, long, LONG Goodbye

So, you remember that story I started telling you about Bubba and Ping going off to say goodbye to Yip and Jip, just before they went off and moved to Calgary, and then some other stuff happened, like the Panda Olympics and Chinese New Years, and I started telling you some other stories? Well, think of it as kind of a long goodbye from Bubba to his good friends to the north, Jip and Yip.

To remind you of where we left them…

Packing is such a chore! And a surprise visit from a friend can make it go so much faster!

Pinky Knows How to Work a Crowd

Recently, one of my friends in the Pandasphere suggested that Pinky would enjoy crowd surfing, and that got me thinking…

And speaking of a crowd…..

Way to go, to everyone who attended one of the March For Life events around the world. I was so glad to see there was a large turnout in DC, with estimates of over 1 million people! I think Seattle had a good turnout. Our local demonstration was small, but enthusiastic. Now we need to make sure all these potential new voters get registered and vote! The times they are a changing, indeed!

Meanwhile, what is Pinky up to?

Don’t you hate packing to move? I know I do. What to take…what to leave…what to toss…what to donate? And when you have a once in a lifetime opportunity to be a Torch Bear, well! I know what I’d rather do!

It’s Valentine’s Day Again!

While who wouldn’t love a holiday that’s all about chocolate, I have to admit that Valentine’s Day has never been one of my favorite holiday. It always felt like a day that’s sole purpose is to make single people feel like crap, and even when I was a kid and they had the “everyone must have a card for everyone” rule in school, I only got the obligatory tiny flat “cards” and never one of those elaborate handmade ones that showed you were REALLY loved and valued.

On the other hand, if I’d had a rich and friend filled childhood, I wouldn’t have become an artist and a cartoonist, so it’s a win for everyone. Right? Am I right?

Canadian Pandas are on the move!

So sad for Toronto, but happy happy for those of us living west of the Rockies! Er Shun, Da Mao, and Yip and Jip are coming our way! (I’m already formulating plans to go see them! The Canadian pandas are on the move!!! But what about Bubba? And what about their panda world honor of being the Torch Bears?

What about THAT???????

It’s a good thing that Pinky taught Bubba how to use Skype!

And what about Unka Justin? Will he be able to find them?

Pardon our technical difficulties

Oh Cwap! I screwed up!

I really, really thought that I had set up a post for Sunday, but the weekend was kind of busy, and all I can say is that my brain was obviously overloaded and…I just forgot. Or to be more accurate, I thought I had done it, but I didn’t. So…does that qualify as a technical difficulty? I throw myself on Pinky’s mercy! Fortunately, I have not been hauled off by the authorities for inappropriate humor, so there’s that! and now you get a little giggle on Monday evening!

I’ve heard through the Twidder grapevine that Pinky is writing her own state of the Union (or “Uniom”) address and just between you and me, I think Pinky’s address will be much more fun, interesting, and coherent than He Who Must Not Be Named’s address. Are people taking bets as to whether he will stay on script (using his petulant, somewhat whiny “I’m reading someone else’s words because mommee said I had to” voice) or blast off into an incoherent rant?

I hope someone will tell me because I will not be watching.
