Oh dear. Why did I think that a bunch of rich, white, male Senators would give any credence to what a woman had to say. Sorry to ruin your Friday morning, but if you thought the Senate Judiciary Committee (run by the Repugnant Republicans) was going to…oh, I don’t know…call for a full investigation to either prove or disprove the allegations against the Supreme Court nominee, but oh noOOOOOO. We can’t have that. We might have to believe the women and we know that is just not going to happen.

So, I realize I have too choices here. I could search for all the darkest ‘toons, and sink into the pit of despair (taking all of you with me for company) or…I could search for the pandiest ‘toons that bring us joy. Because we need it, I need it. The world needs it.

What a great idea (no, not really) #45 has, to add a Supreme Court Justice that does not believe a president should be prosecuted while in office. At the time I am writing this, (some weeks in advance), I have no idea what is going to happen with the Kavanaugh nomination, but it is pretty distressing to see the way the R’s are trying to get him confirmed before all the information has been studied. I mean, been made available!

Of course, you should have voted for Pinky!

So much crazy coming out of the OTHER Washington. (FYI the one in the upper left hand corner is THE Washington, making the home of Mei, Tian and the kids the OTHER one. Hey…I don’t make the rules…oh wait…yes I do!) So let’s get right to the pandas, shall we?

Indeed! We need Fabulous! We need Furry! we need a distraction from the Bread and Circus extravaganza taking place in the other Washington! Reading my ‘toons of the last few years as I look for pertinently prognosticating and prescient ‘toons to share with you, I am amazed anew about how what seemed absurd 2 + years ago (Pinky declaring war on Canada) is hardly funny now that it is not our of the realm of possibility, under the tiny paws of Mittens.

What is this country coming to? What can save us? How did we get here?

One Last Day to Celebrate Pinky and Bubba!

I can hardly believe that birthday week for our most favorite bears is almost over. Rumor has it that Pinky is not having a party this year, because she might, um…have a cuppycake in da oven. Won’t that be interesting? because I have chosen (yes, I do get to choose this) to kind of suspend my pandas in time, on a sliding scale, Having Pinky suddenly become a mum, might be too much for my tortured brain.

Meanwhile, my bout of flu last week seems to be gone, just in time for smoke to fill our skies, thanks to wildfires in Washington, Oregon and Canada. Oh, and there is the little matter of the revelations by 45’s personal (former) attorney, not to mention the conviction of his former campaign manager. Are we watching the news or a rerun of The Sopranos? Really, it’s kind of hard to tell.

So let’s have a few laughs and a cuppycake (or three) with Pinky and Bubba!

I am a bit under the weather here, but today I was able to drag my sorry, fuzzy butt out of bed and prepare today’s Celebration of Pinky! I’m sure that a good dose of Pinky will be just the medicine I need, what with outrage and laughter being known as the best medicine. Who said anything about outrage? Well, have you listened to the news today?

Nuff said about THAT!!!! Let’s see what the Pinky File has for us today!

Update on Kindle books: One of my alert readers just let me know that amazon will honor previous purchases for the lower price Kindle book if you’ve already bought the print version via Amazon. I hope to have them all uploaded by the end of this month! Personally, I am a print book fan, but so many people who commute or travel enjoy having them to take with them as an ebook. Enjoy!

…Pinky in Wonderland! I bet you were wondering when I was going to get back to this, but what with Bebe Maurice’s birthday, Zhen Zhen’s big adventure and, oh…I don’t know, the collapse of civilization as we know it, I just got the tiniest bit off track! I’ve been out and about peddling my fine art wares in various places too.

But what about Pinky???? Pinky has fans! You can’t just neglect her!!!!

And we haven’t been! in addition to fine arting around, I have also been preparing to release the Panda Chronicles books as ebooks! Now, I am a print kind of person. I like books. I like reading them, I like the smell and the feel of real books. But over the years, a number of people have asked me, “Whhhhyyyyyy can’t we have ebooks toooo!?!?!?!?” Well ask no more, your dreams are about to come true! I’m still in the process of getting the books set up, but since it is Pinky and Bubba’s birthday month, I thought I should get those ready first, so that we could have…

As I mentioned before, Book 7 (Don’ call mee boo boo) and Book 8 (The Pinky Defense) ebooks are now on sale for $2.99 for Pinky and Bubba’s birthday month. Also, if you haven’t bought the print editions yet, you can also get the ebook along with the print edition for only $.99! TBH, I don’t know if this is retroactive for people who have already bought the book, but if anyone wants to try, let me know, okay?

I am slowly getting the other books set up as ebooks (partly because Amazon finally made it easier (not easy, just easier) to convert the print PDF into an ebook without having to jump through a lot of hoops or pay someone hundreds of dollars to do it!) and I’ll keep you posted as to the progress!
