Indeed! We need Fabulous! We need Furry! we need a distraction from the Bread and Circus extravaganza taking place in the other Washington! Reading my ‘toons of the last few years as I look for pertinently prognosticating and prescient ‘toons to share with you, I am amazed anew about how what seemed absurd 2 + years ago (Pinky declaring war on Canada) is hardly funny now that it is not our of the realm of possibility, under the tiny paws of Mittens.

What is this country coming to? What can save us? How did we get here?

Panda satire, that’s the answer to everything!

One Last Day to Celebrate Pinky and Bubba!

I can hardly believe that birthday week for our most favorite bears is almost over. Rumor has it that Pinky is not having a party this year, because she might, um…have a cuppycake in da oven. Won’t that be interesting? because I have chosen (yes, I do get to choose this) to kind of suspend my pandas in time, on a sliding scale, Having Pinky suddenly become a mum, might be too much for my tortured brain.

Meanwhile, my bout of flu last week seems to be gone, just in time for smoke to fill our skies, thanks to wildfires in Washington, Oregon and Canada. Oh, and there is the little matter of the revelations by 45’s personal (former) attorney, not to mention the conviction of his former campaign manager. Are we watching the news or a rerun of The Sopranos? Really, it’s kind of hard to tell.

So let’s have a few laughs and a cuppycake (or three) with Pinky and Bubba!

More Celebrations of Pinky! (and Bubba!!!!!)

I am a bit under the weather here, but today I was able to drag my sorry, fuzzy butt out of bed and prepare today’s Celebration of Pinky! I’m sure that a good dose of Pinky will be just the medicine I need, what with outrage and laughter being known as the best medicine. Who said anything about outrage? Well, have you listened to the news today?

Nuff said about THAT!!!! Let’s see what the Pinky File has for us today!

It’s Pinky’s (AND Bubba’s) Birthday Season

Yes, we are in the fogs of August, here in the other Washington, and you know what that means! It’s Pinky’s (and Bubba’s) birthday month, so we will be featuring ‘toons about Pinky and  Bubba all month long!

Huzzah!

But first, a poem, by Pinky, to celebrate the occasion:

Thirty days, has September
Why dis is, i can’t remember.
august is da monf of ME
its days number thirty three.

boo boo says dis isn’t true
but what does his truth have to do
wif princess pandas such as me,
cause i need at least thirty three

days to celebrate my birth,
because i know what i am  worth.

Pinky makes the spontunerous decision to follow Mr. Bun down the rabbit hole! What is waiting for her there? Was this smart? Was this prudent? What will happen?

And speaking of spontunerous, I thought that this comment posted by Jeannie on last Friday’s post had so much good information about voting, that it bears (bears! Get it?) repeating, in case you didn’t see Friday’s comments!

Pinky might be of the opinion that the Meihems have a unfair advantage, what with being twins and more than a month older than Pinky. She could possibly have a point, because from the beginning, they have given as good as they’ve gotten, at least when it comes to Pinky’s shenanigans.

So is it any surprise that they have a response to Pinky’s most recent accusations?

I didn’t think so either!

Pinky: “if i want you to have an opinion, i’ll give it to you!”

It’s been a while since I last read it so… also some other pandas were anxious to share their stories, including Zhen Zhen’s big adventure tale (based on a true story!) and the reveal of Bebe Maurice’s new outfit and chosen interest!

I mean, really…this kind of self serving rhetoric is kind of funny when a small, cartoon panda says it. The (Supposed) leader of the Free World? Um…not so much. I mean, you’d almost think You Know Who was getting his talking points from Pinky. I really don’t want to think about that.
