Day 30 ~ 31 Days of Pandas!

It’s Day 30 of 31 Days of Pandas! Thank you for joining me for this month-long Pandapalooza! It is always fun dipping into the archives to see what floats to the surface!

We are looking at a very stressful year ahead. HWMNBN is not going to go quietly into the night like Nixon did. He is going to go kicking and screaming and saying UNFAIR WITCH HUNT all the way. We need to be very brave and stand up for the Constitution and for Democracy. We need all the pandas and frosting that we can get!

To that end, let me leave you with some of my all time favorite ‘toons from over the years!

Yesterday’s ‘toon made me think about all the other occasions that Mei Xiang delivered some resolutions for Pinky, so I thought that today’s ‘toon round up could feature those ‘toons! (Pinky: I don’t know why! I’m already perfect!)

Day 26 ~ 31 Days of Pandas

Wow! 31 Days of Pandas is on the downhill slide once again! I hope it’s been as much fun for yours it was for me to revisit these classics of panda satire! January will feel almost like a vacation since I won’t have to post every day!

Where we’re at….

I’ll be back on my schedule of new ‘toons every Tuesday and Thursday, and a selection of favorite ‘toons from the archives on Sundays. In January, our encore presentations will focus on the year in review, as I look back to see what was going on each month of the year.

You might have noticed that I didn’t not get around to putting out a new book in January of 2019, and before I knew it, it was December! How the heck did THAT happen? Well, I guess we were all a bit distracted by the fall of Democracy and the various crimes in plain sight by HWMNBN. It was suggested to me, that I look at the ‘toons from 2018 & 2019, and do a compilation on ‘toons about politics! I think that could be very instructive!

I am in the midst of my usual year end practice of looking where I’ve been, and figuring out where I’m going. The political mess has led me to spend too much time raging on Twitter and seeing if You Know Who has had a stroke or committed any overt acts of violence in public. It’s a dilemma: I want to hang out with you all, but I also need to get paintings, pandas (and of course needle felted pandas!!!!) done. So, no more mornings on the internet. Hanging out with you all will be my reward at the end of the day after I’ve actually gotten something done!

Meanwhile, let’s see what Pinky and Bubba are up to. Isn’t it time for Pinky to get her list of resolutions for the new year from mommee?

You would think Pinky would already have improved her behavior by now…

I hope you are spending the morning in your PJ’s, surrounded by those you love. Holiday’s are not all they are cracked up to be, for many people, so if you have a complicated relationship with supposed joyful times of year (whatever holiday you do or don’t celebrate) cut yourself a great, big length of slack. Just remember, if your holiday is not what you wish it was, Donald tRUmp’s is turning out even worse than that. 🙂

Well, I’m sitting here listening to the “debate” in the house over all of 45’s crimes. Sigh…I think I got it right in yesterday’s ‘toon, quite frankly. I’ve been listening to Rachel Maddow read her new book Blowout, which is all about the oil and gas industry and how Russia is entangled in all of it. It’s a serious read with all sorts of tales of incompetence and corruption. You might need to read a little bit of The Panda Chronicles in between chapters!

It’s Day 10 of 31 Days of Pandas!!! Are you feeling extra Pandy yet? Have some more holiday cookies! I promise, you’ll get there!

Meanwhile, the Impeachment Proceedings rage on in DC. HWMNBN is exhibiting nuttier and nuttier behavior. His corrupt minions have all gone full 1984: Nothing to see here! All perfectly normal! If the “president” does it, it’s legal* (*unless he’s a democrat)

So to further distract ourselves, here is the beginning of a brand new, Instant Holiday Classic!!!

As you know, in the tradition of comics such as Peanuts and Calvin and Hobbes, my characters will never age or leave home. We know in the real world, this is not the case. There are so many things in the real world (heh) that we want no part of, but what if…

Oh my! Day 8 of 31 days of Pandas is upon us!

Panda Socks are (mostly) all in the post, and some have even arrived! Huzzah! But now, let’s not waste another minute obsessing about whether this is the end of democracy, the beginning of the end for Mittens, or the end of the beginning!
