You know what we do on Sundays! We rummage through the archives looking for fun ‘toons to share with you again! TBH, sometimes I get an idea for a ‘toon theme when I’m out and about doing stuff, but by the time I sit down at the compooter, I’ve forgotten it already. Actually, I almost forgot what I was writing in the middle of this sentence.

But it’s Pinky’s Birthday season (and BUBBA’S!!!!!) so, it seems like we could still replay some of Pinky’s greatest hits!

So, away we go!

This story came to me from one of my alert pandas fans, who like to keep me informed about amusing animal stories that abound on the internet! There have been MANY stories about bears lately, so I have been collecting them and they will show up eventually! Frank and Mikey have been busy bears!

Oh Sure, Deer are SOOOOOOO Cute!

Yeah, you may think all those big eyed deer that you see in Disney movies are so sweet and adorable, but here on Whidbey, the deer are totally cheesed off at people and aren’t afraid to let you know what they REALLY think! I read of several instances in our local paper, where deer attacked both cats a dogs, and killed at least one dog and a cat.

Seriously, Bambi! get a grip!

Don’t get mad. Get even.

I don’t know. Maybe the average rate of one deer a day getting hit by a car was starting to make them mad!

The Silence(ing) of the Louts

Sometimes it feels like I am going to lose my mind. The cries of the right wing hate mongers complaining that they are being silenced, because most people aren’t buying what they’re selling, is 1984 doublespeak at its most virulent. The claims that it’s really those who protest against racial hate speech are the TRUE racists, make my head feel like it is ready to explode.

Last week saw two devastating shootings in less than 24 hours. Since then, there have probably been several more that did not make my news feed. This is in addition to several potential killers who were apprehended before they could enact their foul deeds. Conspiracy theories about the death of Jeffrey Epstein are flying about the internet, including some by the 45th Resident of the White House. Is it possible that we could have just two days in a row where nothing awful happens?

Just because your speech is free, doesn’t mean I have to listen to it.

You are a bully for calling me on my bullying.

Real panda NooZ: At least as of yesterday, the new twins born to Hao Hao at Pairi Daiza in Belgium are doing well. Keep up the good work, everyone! We need more pandas now, more than ever!

Boo Boo’s Bearday is Coming Soon…

Breaking Nooz! Hao Hao of Pairi Daiza in Belgium has given birth to twins. So far, all is going well. They look very round (yay!) and the twin switching seems to be going well! Congratulations to Hao Hao and her entire team and family!

…Now, it seems like there is another Panda Bearday coming up right around then, but I just can’t remember who it is….Heh!

Just when you think that things can’t get any worse, they do. Who could ever have thought that there were lower bottoms yet to reach, and yet here we are.  How long will it be before there is not a single person left who has not been personally touched by gun violence?

We are not fooled by the treacly insincerity of 45’s crocodile tears, as he reads someone else’s statement about his outrage against hate and racism. I fear that we will never regain our standing in the world, that the damage to the environment will never be healed, that we will never be able to trust our own ears and eyes, that what we think is true, is actually what is happening.

I’m trying to panda on, but honestly, it’s getting kind of tough….so…

When the going gets tough, the tough get Frank and Mikey…

Shark week, minion week…it’s all the same at The Panda Chronicles! After our brief interruption in service earlier this week, which resulted in no one being able to see the site, we were saved by our new web host and guru over at The Digital Reader. For someone like me, who has a tiny bit of tech knowledge, riddled with vast chasms of ineptitude, someone who actually knows what they’re doing and responds quickly to problems is a good thing indeed!

Meanwhile, Pinky has new minions, but let’s take a trip down memory lane as we recall her minions from her last presydential run!
