The 50th Pandaversary celebration of all things PANDA would hardly be complete without an examination of every thought that has ever passed through the magnificent brain of the most important panda that ever resided at the Smifsonian National Zoo!

Oh sure, you might think Ling Ling and Hsing Hsing were those most important pandas, since they were the first to reside in Washington DC. Or maybe you might think that the well loved Tai Shan (aka #1 son), being the miracle cubby who arrived in 2005, is that most important panda.

But only 1 panda was VOTED an icon in a national campaign by the Smifsonian! Guess who!!!!!

The 2022 Pand-O-Lympics Begins!!!!

The 2022 Olympics in Beijing are going to be wrapping up later this week, but the Pand-O-Lympics have just begun!

Let’s see how Pinky is doing being the team coach and manager!

I was Powerless to Resist

I tried to ignore those enigmatic tweets, full of little black, yellow, and green boxes in up to 6 rows of 5. On further investigation, I was still clueless, because, well, Wordle has no clues!

Eventually I figured it out and now I am hooked. Lucky for me, they only let you play one game per day, and everyone gets the same word. The new days’ word drops right at midnight in your time zone. Out of 7 games so far, I have figured out all 7. My best is figuring it out in 3 rows, which I have done 3 times!

I’m not sure how Pinky’s game will work out. I think Mommee Mei might protest the paywall…

Pinky’s resolutions!

Funny thing.. I had already done the new ‘toon and then set up Sunday’s encore presentations of previous presentations of Pinky’s resolutions. I guess there was a reason this year’s ‘toon almost wrote itself…

2022 resolutions:

It’s deJa vu all over again!

For comparison, here is the 2021 version!

It was either this or a double semi-tractor trailer!

Maybe Mommee uploaded this year’s resolutions to last year’s iPand mini!

Keeping my pseudo thumbs crossed that 2022 is a much better year for all of us!

Time for the presentation of resolutions to Princess Pinky!

Every year, Mommee Mei shares a list of resolutions for Pinky (Bubba only gets one: chew your food). While we wait for this year’s list, let’s look back on the resolutions she has “shared” with Pinky in years past!

But first, Pinky “helps” the panda kindergarten with their resolutions!

Who remembers Occupy Hemlock?

Somewhere around Christmas Eve of 2014, Pinky bit the ouchie wire and went up in the Dreaded Hemlock and would not come down! Then Bob told a fib about it and was suspended (obviously Chris Cuomo should have learned this lesson from Bob and not made a similar mistake!) only to be replaced by none other than…

Oh, Bob, you didn’t really say that, did you?
And look who Bob’s suspension replacement is! Huzzah!
