The Panda Kindergarten Must Be Stopped!!!

I’m fairly sure that the Panda Kindergarten must be responsible for the difficulties I’ve been having with the Pandashpere. I am now setting this up in what WP calls the Block Editor. Things appear and disappear randomly, as if a certain small panda was using her magical wand to foul things up.

Hmm…

But when I try to use the “classic editor” which has helped me lo these many years to bring you all the panda satire you need and want, it does other strange things like not publish scheduled posts or stop working while I’m in the middle of composing these wise pontifications…um…I mean incoherent blatherings.

Oh well…maybe I should just ask Pinky!

Maybe I Should Ask Pinky How to Fix the Computer….

I seem to be having some technical difficulties, but hopefully, they will sort themselves out (and by themselves, I mean my very capable and accessible web guru, Nate Hoffelder who writes The Digital Reader and has a web guru business)

I wonder if some of my problems are due to my reluctance to give up the old editing interface that I’ve been using for the past 10 years, and move on to the new WordPress way of doing things….sigh…

Anyway….Pinky still has more questions to answer!

I wonder “who” the mysterious advice seeker is!

I am trying the newfangled editing thingie, and I guess I don’t totally hate it. Maybe I will even get used to it in a few weeks!

Beware the Ides of March!

Oops. The Ides of March (whatever the heck they are) were yesterday. I’m more concerned with the Ides of April (aka tax day)! Maybe we should be more worried about the Ides of Pinky!

But fast on the heels of the Ides, comes National Panda Day! No, I am not making this up. (Some people would say that EVERY day is panda day, and you know? They might be right!)

Bikkie Goes Outside!

It has been so much fun watching Bikkie go up and down trees, playing and sleeping in the hammock, and following Mommee and making practice pounces. Bikkie is a very good pouncer.

But all tree climbing pandas have to start somewhere!

How the heck did THAT happen? I turn my back for one minute and suddenly, February is almost over. I mean, I KNOW it is the shortest month and everything, but is it really supposed to be THIS short????

But since time in Pandyland is somewhat…shall we say…flexible, we will soon have the Panda Kindergarten presentation for this year’s Lunar New Year Celebration (Which was cancelled the  last two years because snakes and rats!!!) I can’t wait to see what the little darlings have up their paws, under the inestimable guidance of the leader of the Pandy Kindy, Bob T Panda!

But now, with no further ado….heeeeeeere’s Bikkie!

Well PINKY thought it was a good idea!

While it doesn’t have anything to do with pandas, as I sit at my computer, getting ready to write this post, an owl (maybe two) is (are?) hooting in the woods behind my house! Life in the 5 Acre Wood is never dull!

Meanwhile, Pinky has hatched yet another plan to cash in on another younger sibling’s adorable self. Will she get away with it? Who knows! The idea for this series came from Twidder friend Boo Boo Panda ( @BooBooPanduh on Twidder) who likes to make videos from the panda cam footage, and put them to music. She always comes up with great music/video combinations and they are so much fun to watch.

She wanted to make a workout video for Bikkie, masterminded and produced by Pinky, and asked if I could do a related ‘toon. The previous two ‘toon postings and today’s ‘toon are the result!. You can watch her video HERE! I hope you enjoy it!

Who remembers Pinky Promises? You hook pinkies with whoever you are making the promise to, and say, “I pinky promise!” Somehow, I suspect it has another meaning when Pinky says it.

Who thinks Mommee Mei is suspicious of this promise?

What could be better than a little distraction via pandas from the current Impeachment circus?

Pinky Has a Plan for Dat!

One of the things I love about Pinky, is that she never lets those reflective moments get in the way of her naked ambition! I mean, she is a panda with a plan, and the plan is usually “what’s best for Pinky?” While this is not (as we have seen these last four years) a very admirable trait in humans, in a small, adorable panda…well, Pinky is a star and an icon!

Never deterred by adversity (like having THREE younger brothers- we include Ping) Pinky has picked up the pieces of her failed attempt to win the presidency and is moving on!
