Oh my! What is going to happen now? This is getting kind of scary and I know I am going to get all kinds of flack for this, because I have put those adorable little munchkins, Six and Sebben in the path of Pinky’s ire, (not to mention her magical wand!!!!) But can you blame me? I mean this is a fairy tale for crying out loud! If there is a wicked witch, there has to be a handsome prince who comes and saves the day, right? Or in the case of Wonder Woman, a really kick-ass goddess warrior who comes right up against evil and attempts (and maybe even succeeds) to vanquish it!  Oh Poot on you Pinky! Your evil plan will NEBBER succeed!

Or will it? Did you really think I would give away the ending already?

And Now, the Moment You’ve Been Waiting for…

Okay, not THAT  moment…not the moment when… oh heck. I don’t want to ruin the suspense! what kind of person…um…panda would I be if I told you what was going to happen one or two episodes from now? I mean, don’t you just hate when you are watching a TV series for the first time, and some smarty pants who already binge watched it on Netflix blurts out what’s going to happen in the episode you haven’t watched yet? You were waiting for the exact right moment to watch that episode, and now it’s RUINED!!!!

You might as well be waiting for Godot, but instead you’re going to get…

…baby pandas! You’re getting baby pandas!!!!

Whew! Big sigh of relief. But don’t relax just yet…Bwahahahahaha!

It’s hard not to have that looking over your shoulder, don’t open that door!!!!!! moment like you get when you watch one of those scary movies. The innocent protagonists are having this brief reprieve where they don’t think that evil is going to come crashing down on them, but…before you know it… So don’t look now …just enjoy the party…

We know that Pinky is not going to be content staying home, feeding the fish, and hanging out with the red pandas.

Oh yeah…just look up fairy tales 101, in your guide to children’s literature handbook. Although, of course, Grimm’s fairy tales in their original form would give any one nightmares, not just children.

You know how this story line goes: Big party/royal christening/panda naming day is happening but the evil fairy/witch/panda princess is not invited because of past misdeeds/evil intentions.  Evil fairy/witch/panda princess shows up anyway, chaos ensues, fair princess(es) are saved by gallant prince/knight/guy just walking by that turns out to be a deposed prince.

Yada,Yada, Yada.

Meanwhile, let’s see who has arrived at the naming day party…

Oh my! Pinky is not going to like this at all! Being made to stay home and feed the goldfish! And all because of a silly little mistake she made when she was very young. It is understandable, after the traumatic panda cam shut down in her early cubbyhood! What is an icon to do? Fish for compliments? Revise history so that she comes out the hero?

Maybe she can play Go Fish with the red pandas!

So what else is new? Am I really supposed to spend all my days trying to write stories that are all about Pinky all the time? I thought as a writer that I had at least a little bit of free will and discretion about what my stories are about. And really, Pinky, if you think that my stories are making you look bad, you could…oh, I don’t know…maybe behave a little better and not tease your brother so much?

Where Does the Time Go?

Oh my! Look at the time!!! Usually I compose the Fabulous Furry Friday post on Thursdays, so it goes out bright and early on Friday morning, but this week I blew it! Too many balls in the air, I guess.

So here are some of my favorite ‘toons, to take you into the weekend, as we watch the clock run down on my Kickstarter Campaign, and prepare to frolic with toddler pandas, and also wait for the moment when Sean Spicer runs naked and screaming onto the White House south lawn. Hey, it could happen!

But for now, let’s have some PANDAS!!!!! (while we remember fondly, a time when we had hope that Democracy would still stand.)

Mei should not be getting all excited like this in her condition!

Just when Pinky thought that all of the attention would be on her, look what has happened to ruin her dreams of Pandward Bound Dominance! Poor, poor Pinky…she never gets a break. Maybe Bubba will have some wise words that will lessen Pinky’s shock and disappointment.
