Okay, I’m not really on vacation, it’s just that some days I don’t get the things done that I think I will. Meanwhile, over at the Substack, I posted the whole story of Ping being targeted by the evil ICE. The second installment drops soon today.

But it IS the Panda Birthday Season, and we do have some important Panda Birthdays looming, so I’ll just take a little dive into the archives and pull up a few things!

I have always had a difficult relationship with technology. (And yet, here I am, on a blog!  Go figure).  Anyway, I was one of the last people I know to join the computer generation.  I think I know at least two other hold-outs, but they are bigger old farts than me.  I can say that because they will never read this, and besides, they have admitted to this old fartiness already.

I think pandas should have their own radio station. you could call it…hmmm. how about the initials N.P.R.?

Think of all the shows that could be hosted by pandas…

The Cruelty of Technology

While we at Way Better Than Working subscribe to the philosophy, “technology when it suits us,” we think things have gone WAY too far!!!!  The other day we heard a report on NPR (that’s National Panda Radio, in case you’ve forgotten) which talks about the new generation of…gasp… I can hardly say the word…bathroom scales.  We, of course, threw ours out years ago, because it interfered with our devotion to cuppycakes, so imagine our horror when we heard that they had come out with a scale thast could post the results directly to twitter.  Is there no end to the dastardlyness of inventors of new gizmos and gadgets?  What IS a panda to do?
