Deck the walls with lots of Bamboo
Ok, ok, I know we’ve used this one before, but give us a break, It’s Christmas Eve and all the little pandas are snug in their dens.
We are dreaming of cookies and figgy pudding (with bamboo garnish, of course) We hope everyone is safe and warm and with someone they love. Have a safe and happy holiday season, and remember:
1. Don’t talk on your mephone while driving.
2. Cats are not a s bad as they seem.
3. Pandas are suitable for all occaisions.

I hope we are making up for our lack of cartoons today! Our local newspaper holds an annual gingerbread house competition, for which Mehitabel and the pandas all got quite excited about.
Of course, when pandas are involved, the results can be somewhat unexpected.

What Pandas want for the Holidays
Ok, we admit that we haven’t done any new cartoons in WEEKS probably, but it gets so busy this time of year. So, you’ll just have to put up with this look at postage. You remember postage, don’t you. You know, you write a letter…. a what did you say? You know…well, anyway, you write a letter, put it in an envelope and then put a stamp on it and eventually it gets somewhere else. pretty nifty, huh? I guess pandas are naturally luddites. It’s part of what makes us so charming.
We want to send out a big pandy hug to our friend Henry, who doesn’t have anymore reason to think about pandas now that he’s done with his book. You can still watch us on youtube. I’m sure it will cheer you up.

When Cake is Outlawed, Only Pandas will Have Cake
A recent youtube video shows one of the San Diego Pandas having cake! I would post it here, but I don’t know how to do that sort of thing. People don’t realize how hard it is to type with big furry paws. Anyway, I think it is listed as “Panda Birthday Cake” and shows one small panda’s dedication to the concept of “Cake!”

It’s beginning to look a lot like PANDAS!!!!!!
Well we have been busy little bears, traveling to meet with our black bear brothers and sisters in the Yosemite Valley! The folks that run the park are making it hard for a bear to make a living. They request that all cars are emptied of food especially at night, so that marauding gangs of bears (chanting “Be the Bear! Be the Bear!” as they run through the car park) aren’t enticed to be bad bears and break into cars, eating twinkies, moving the seats and changing the preset buttons on the radios! But we bears get so tired of eating just what is good for us, don’t ya know? What I wouldn’t give for a donut just now…..Sigh.

Lun Lun Does it Again!
Pandas everywhere are rejoicing! A new baby panda was born at the Atlanta Georgia Zoo! Thanks to the dedicated and diligent panda-philes at Panda News, we are alerted to a new US Panda! (China has taken note and the increased rental bill is in the mail!) What is of great excitement to all of us at Way Better Than Working, is that this panda is a SCORPIO, which is very unusual for pandas, most pandas being of the Leo or Virgo persuasion. We at WBTW are in the midst of OUR birthday season, so of course we are extra excited! What a great occasion for Cake!

Okay, let’s take a poll here. How many of you are tired of hearing the phone ring, and then realizing it’s a “robo-call”, telling you what a lying, sack of $#!* their opponent is, and as soon as you hang up from that call, the phone rings again and it’s the first guy’s opponent, saying what a lying sack of $#!* the OTHER guy is. It’s more than a Panda can bear. (Get it?) Well, we of the Cake Party are calling for a more civilized discourse, and for getting the bad taste of over-brewed tea out of our mouth. Are we getting into the line of fire? Hmmmm…. who knows? Can’t everyone just behave and be nice? And maybe stick to actual facts?
