Yes, it’s Fabulously Furry Friday, once again and being in the middle of 31 Days of Pandas only makes it more FABULOUS! Oh, what a year it’s been, but now the doors of your Indictment Advent Calendar are springing open faster than we can keep up! Who will be the next to sing a song of woe and treason?

Only the “Bob” knows for sure!

April Fools Day has always been my favorite holiday. I know I already ran this one, but I thought, given the latest indictments, it was worth repeating.

I loved this story line, because Bubba got to be the star (at least till Pinky showed up.)

31 Days of Pandas: Year in Review: March

March came in like a panda: sleeping half the day, and spent the rest of the time looking for Cuppycakes. It was also the month of the annual Pandamonium Panda Convention, this time in beautiful PanDiego!

Let’s see what the pandas rustled up in March!

2018 saw the publication of another Panda Chronicles Collection, featuring none other that Princess Pinky! (Pinky sez you might want to give them for ALL your holiday gifts!)

I think we all need a little emotional support these days…(That’s why they invented six-packs of cuppycakes)

Yes, Pinky. I’m sure Mr. Bun IS emotionally supportive!

This ‘toon took on even more personal significance this fall when a gunman entered The Tree of Life Synagogue and killed 11 people, and shot and injured someone I know. Thankfully he has survived, but 11 others that day were not so lucky. Several of the brave responders were shot as well. When is enough, enough? I’d say that day came years ago.

It’s Time Once Again! 31 Days of Pandas Has Arrived

Yes, It’s been (another) hell of a year. So I asked myself, “Self…what could I do to improve the mood of the defenders of justice, the pursuers of happiness, and friends to furry creatures great and small…?”

I Know! Let’s have 31 Days of Pandas!!!!!!

We have a new format for this year’s 31 Days of Pandas. On Monday through Thursday, we will have a brand new ‘toon each day, and Friday through Sunday, we will revisit my favorite ‘toons of each month in 2018, with a teensy bit of commentary on the ‘toons.

But WAIT, you say! What about Pinky in Wonderland????

Well, I have been working on new episodes (Huzzah!) (Pinky: it’s about time! i am a icon, you know!). There have been so many current events that I have felt the need to chronicle, that Pinky in Wonderland was unavoidably delayed. Rather than make you search through all the older posts to catch up with the story, (would I do that?) I thought it would be a great use of the first two days of 31 Days of Pandas to recap the story till now.

Sit back, get some popcorn and Boo-Cola and enjoy episodes 1-9 of Pinky in Wonderland!

Join us as we attempt to push away from the table (no! Really, I couldn’t…oh, well, maybe a fifth piece of pie would go down nicely) and gather around the computer to enjoy a few vintage ‘toons as we gear up for 31 Days of Pandas, starting a week from Saturday.

The news just keeps getting newsier and newsier and I am thankful that my friends in north central CA home was spared, but so many were not. Perhaps the panda kindergarten could be enlisted to rake the forest floor. Sigh….

I have a little series coming up, that I wrote to make myself feel better about the recent Supreme Court Nomination Debacle. I’m thinking that this series had it’s roots in an exercise our Nevada SCBWI Mentor class had in a session during our final weekend. Our leader for the class, Timothy Travaglini, (@DevilWrsBowTies on Twidder) had everyone write a couple sentences about someone who had done something really awful to us, for which we would like revenge. We then exchanged the papers and pared up with another writer in the group to write a story of revenge.

I’m just saying: do not make writers mad. The story they will write in retaliation will be very scary.

Just keep that in mind when you read our little series starting on Sunday!

We survived the midterms and while we didn’t get everything on our wish list, we did get some of it, most importantly Democratic control of the House of Representatives. That’s not just chopped liver, I’m telling you!

Meanwhile, we are gearing up for 31 Days of Pandas and I think I have a plan! Meanwhile…

Let’s scamper down memory lane, with Pinky and her minions, who just turned FOUR years old last week!

PS: For those of you who have been following the news in Pittsburgh, my friend was recently moved from ICU to a regular hospital room, so I am more optimistic, cautiously so. Thanks to all who have asked.
