OK< Kasia, I admit I stole this caption from you. Deal with it.

Another addition to your paper doll collection! Coming soon! The Panda Kindergarten! Huzzah! Print, cut out and glue to carboard backing and you are ready to populate your house with pandas ( OK, yes, Mehitabel, and cats) If you are new to The Panda Chronicles, Babette’s paper doll appears on December 2, 2011. Bob is carrying his favorite food, a cuppycake.
Be the Bear,
Bob T. Panda
Everyone (well, several people at any rate) had so much fun with their Babette de Panda paper dolls, that I thought I should continue with the other characters from Your Brain on Pandas. Lest we not forget that originally, this cartoon was The Cat’s Pajamas and starred Mehitabel and the late, unlamented MeeMeej, before those *###$^&%!!! pandas took over. So for the next paper doll for you to cut out and take with you in your travels, we proudly present: Mehitabel! I should note that we are not currently running a contest for the best photos, but we always are eager to see what our creations are up to when they get off on their own with their new friends! Babette had so much fun on her travels, making friends all over the world, and we had almost as much fun seeing her photos! I should also note, that although Babette seems to be the only panda who dresses up regularly, you should feel free to make clothes for the other characters or even color them in. (In real life, Mehitabel is a calico! I’m just too lazy to color her in after all the cross-hatching I do to draw the dark parts on a panda.)
Cats Rule!
Mehitabel (taking over, temporarily, from Bob T. Panda while he has a little chat with the panda kindergarten!)
Tomorrow is the big day, when we will reveal the winners of the “Where in the World is Babette de Panda” photo contest. But, until then, I offer one of my favorite photos, which shows that everyone loves pandas! (And especially Babette!)
You can be sure that these two gentlemen were honored and delighted to meet Babette, the globe-trotting panda extraordinaire!
See you tomorrow!

Here are photos taken by another finalist in the “Where in the world is Babette de Panda” contest, Sylvia Coates of somewhere in California. Sylvia was kind enough to create a lovely panda sized bikini for Babette and take her to the beach! (OK, so maybe it really wasn’t all that kind to photograph Babette in a bikini, but she is very secure in her attractiveness)
Tune in tomorrow for more finalist phots, and remember,

I hope you all had as much fun taking these pictures of Babette as she trotted around the globe these last few weeks, as I did looking at them. Sometimes I laughed so loud I scared Mehitabel! I could swear that she (Babette) had different expressions on her face depending on where she was and what she was doing. But that’s not possible….is it?
Anyway, despite the fact she has been behaving like a jet setting panda these last few weeks, let us not forget that she has a very serious mission in life, and that is as founder and director for the Hospital for Indigent Pandas, located in Greenbank, WA. The hospital also hosts the Stuffy Panda Rescue Foundation, which is headquartered in Langley, WA.
So here is her nurse’s outfit, which is a replication of the outfit the the actual Babette de Panda wore when taking care of her good friend Victory!
And remember, Virginia, there IS a “Babette de Panda“! Next week, we will announce the winners of the first ever “Where in the world is Babette de Panda?” photo contest! stay tuned!

Tomorrow: The Panda Kindergarten celebrates New Year’s Eve!
To continue with the requirements of the Versatile Blogger Award, here are 7 things that you might not know about me:
1. My fantasy dinner party guest list would include, Dave Barry, Jamie Lee Curtis, The Coen Brothers ( with Frances McDormand, of course) John Cleese, Paula Poundstone, and Kevin Kline. There would not be a dry seat in the house.
2. I like watching movies where things blow up.
3. I like to play computer solitaire.
4. I like to eat icing right out of the can.
5. I am a terrible procrastinator.
6. I am not really a panda.
7. I can’t tell you the 7th thing or I’d have to kill you.
And here are some more pictures of Babette in her around the world travels!
Babette, as you can see, is continuing her around the world journey. Jetting here, jetting there…. my head is spinning trying to keep up with her! Has this been fun? I think so!
Where will she turn up next?

We are approaching the end of our contest period and we have gotten some great entries in the past few days! Babette has been jetting back and forth between Singapore, Cambodia, Las Vegas, and now, Disneyland, where she is happy to report that, “they are all about the pandas here! Everyone is wearing big panda ears! I feel so welcome!”
Here she is in The Magic Panda Kingdom!
And here she is conversing with one of her relatives in Thailand, via Skype!
We are also happy to report that the photographer who took the slightly embarrassing photo of Babette has been identified. She made it up to her by taking Babette to Disneyland.
You can see why she might be perturbed! But then maybe Babette should think twice before abusing Bob’s credit cards so badly, again.
