The Silence(ing) of the Louts

Sometimes it feels like I am going to lose my mind. The cries of the right wing hate mongers complaining that they are being silenced, because most people aren’t buying what they’re selling, is 1984 doublespeak at its most virulent. The claims that it’s really those who protest against racial hate speech are the TRUE racists, make my head feel like it is ready to explode.

Last week saw two devastating shootings in less than 24 hours. Since then, there have probably been several more that did not make my news feed. This is in addition to several potential killers who were apprehended before they could enact their foul deeds. Conspiracy theories about the death of Jeffrey Epstein are flying about the internet, including some by the 45th Resident of the White House. Is it possible that we could have just two days in a row where nothing awful happens?

Just because your speech is free, doesn’t mean I have to listen to it.

You are a bully for calling me on my bullying.

Real panda NooZ: At least as of yesterday, the new twins born to Hao Hao at Pairi Daiza in Belgium are doing well. Keep up the good work, everyone! We need more pandas now, more than ever!

HUZZAH FOR PINKY!!! I never read 1984 (sitting on the bookshelf) because I was afraid it would make me suicidally depressed. Apparently the far-right did and are using it as a guidebook. Whenever 45 spreads a conspiracy theory about others I assume it is projection of his own guilt. Panda on and thank you for the laugh.

Best not to read 1984 right now, or the Handmaid’s Tale, or any of the Hunger Games books. Yes, the GOP/Alt Right have mistaken them for governmental handbooks, instead of cautionary dystopian tales. Better to read panda satire, which has been proven in scientific studies* to improve general outlook and mental health.

I am not reading any dystopian literature, and I am not really a fan of it. Things are unreal enough with the idiot we have in DC.
I have just watched BeBe Maurice (Yuan Meng) torment his sweet Mommee because he wants to nurse or just play. Maybe a little of both. He is a full 24 months old. I wonder if he will be separated from his Mommee or will she separate herself from him? And how will she do that? Where will she go?He was blissful in his pool, but I think he is just more playful and she does not know what to do with him. I think his Mommee is a first time Mommy.
Mei Xiang knew what to do with Princess Pinky when Pinky was biting her as she went past. Mommee Mei grabbed her up and sort of sat on her a couple of times. That stopped the biting!
Bei Bei would grab on Mei’s backside and trundle along behind her. He was lonely after after they were separated and had to learn to entertain himself. The Pinkster was more aloof and played by herself a great deal when not sleeping all day in her tree!
I will miss Bei Bei when he leaves. He is a joyous little bear who is just sweet and laid back and who loves to roll down his hills. All 160 some pounds of him! Not little!
Enough about all this! Thank you for what you do for all of us to help us keep our sanity during this crappy time with Trump.

I used to read a lot of YA dystopian literature, but can’t really bear to right now.
I’m guessing Bebe Maurice’s Maman will pull the plug soon. I really hope Mei Xiang gets one more chance at motherhood, not to mention all the good material I will get from that.
I am so glad I am helping people cope with the insane nightmare that is now all our lives. Drawing pandas helps me as well!
Panda on! Wu is coming soon!
