The Academy Awards are just around the corner and Bob has been working on a new project to wow the judges and the crowd. Don’t tell Babette, but it doesn’t appear that there is a part in the movie for her.

Just in case you were wondering, here at The Institute for Contemporary Panda Satire, we really hate Monday mornings. Why? because we have to get out of our nice cozy den and go to work. Not to mention that it is 40 degrees and raining. On the other hand, we get to bring you the latest in Panda Satire, so it’s not all bad.
One of Bob’s most endearing qualities is his willingness to believe in the inherent goodness of the panda kindergarten.
Later this week we may have some extraordinary panda history news for you. I’m not going to tell you what it is, but if you know the connection between a New York dress designer, the Brookfield Zoo, and Taxis, you may have a clue to the subject of this news flash.

The incomparable Doxiemom Pandamonium sent me this link to one of her videos starring the fabulous Mr Wu, playing with his leaf. This is where Mr Wu, an up and coming choreographer, got his idea for his composition “Dances wif Weaf” Mr Wu is one of the youngest pandas to participate in the “Putting Pandas to Work Program” which trains young pandas for useful employment once they graduate from panda kindergarten. Here’s the link.

Well, I hadn’t thought much in advance about what cartoon I was going to post today, so I will now go to the cartoon archives and see what strikes my fancy. Like every other panda fanatic in the country …no, the world, I can’t stay away from Mr. Wu and his vast repertoire of adorableness. The other day, the incomparable Doxiemom Pandamonium of the most honorable society of panda fans posted a video of Mr. Wu playing with a leaf. I did this cartoon as a tribute to both Mr. Wu (Wu!) and his esteemed videographer.

Lance Armstrong has been in the news again, what with his tell all interview with Oprah Winfrey airing this week. The TV reception here at the panda den is virtually non-existent, so we don’t know if he copped a plea or not. It did remind us of something that happened in Pandyland during the last Winter Olympics, so that inspired us to choose the following cartoon for our encore presentation this week. (For some reason, almost everything reminds us of …um…us. Go figure.)
