If Congress can go on Vacation in August, so can I

Okay, I’m not really on vacation, it’s just that some days I don’t get the things done that I think I will. Meanwhile, over at the Substack, I posted the whole story of Ping being targeted by the evil ICE. The second installment drops soon today.

But it IS the Panda Birthday Season, and we do have some important Panda Birthdays looming, so I’ll just take a little dive into the archives and pull up a few things!

Guess who has a birthday in August?

Pinky: if you guessed any bear other than me, try again.

There must be cake!
Oh dear….are you going to leave her there?
Is this any way to treat our Nation’s most adorable icon?
Pinky needs stuff and she needs it now!
And it was ever thus….
Meihem, not Mayhem.

Remember when Six and Sebben’s older sisters were Pinky’s nemesis?

I was really afraid this was going to happen.
What is Pinky reading?

Don’t make Pinky mad!

Be the Bear
Bob T I’ll probably have some new ‘toons next week Panda

I have always loved the one about the color being erased out of the yard and then putting on the snow suit …. LOL and having to go … 🙂

    Dear Josie,
I am leaving in vacation to visit bears in your beautiful home state of Alaska! As a bear expert, could you please give me some advice!
What should I do if I meet a huge, ferocious bear like your brothers?
And how large a suitcase will I need to sneak my own adorable Pookie home?
    Thank you for your guidance.

      Dear Jeannie,
Thank you for your inquiries about interacting with bears in Alaska. It is always a good idea to have snacks in all of your pockets* just in case you meet some bears. Don’t worry about finding us, we’ll find you. My brothers are not as fierce as they think they are. Since one brother has a pair of fuzzy dice on his ear and the other one wears that dumb hat, they will be easy to spot. I wouldn’t get too close to any of the other bears, who are not as incompetent at being bears as my brothers are.
As for a Pookie sized suitcase, even a small cookie can top 100 pounds or more, so expandable sides and good wheels are a must for your suitcase. Have a great trip and don’t forget to tip your bear guides!
      All the best,
      Josie

      *editor’s note: don’t do this.
