Two pandas are better than one

If the cutest thing in the world is a toddler panda, then TWO pandas are sure to break any cute-o-meter!

Todays fabulous Furry Friday segment focuses on our favorite panda twins! Join us in celebrating the Meihems, their little sisters Six and Sebben, and the Canadian twins (and 2018 Torch Bears!) Toronto’s …um I mean Calgary’s own, Yip and Jip!

And for those of you who were wondering why Six and Sebben are still so small….

The arrival of the Meihems was thrilling! I remember being glued for hours to the panda cam hoping to see a panda cub “swap.” And later, my anticipation of the time when both cubs would be reunited with mom was just ridiculous! I was on the edge of my seat waiting for the three pandas to be together. So exciting! I remember thinking that Zoo Atlanta did a nice job keeping the fans informed with the keeper updates and the nursery photos. Many thanks to Doxiemom as I would not have known what to do without her adorable videos!

I love your drawing of the Toronto Zoo panda arch! I didn’t realize it was a real thing until I saw photos of the exhibit.

Agreed on all counts. I was so excited about Lun Lun having a cub, that when the second one popped out, I was so excited I was dancing around the kitchen and then just had to talk with another panda fan, so I called Cyndi, and we both squeeeeeed and danced around our respective kitchens. What an exciting day!. The folks at Zoo Cublanta did such a fabulous job with their updates. I think they really set the standard for that.

Several people alerted me to this important news story. Thanks for sharing the link so that those who haven’t seen it yet can see what Zhennie is up to. I had heard a little while ago that they were going to give this a try: let Zhennie go out and see if she would party with some wild boys and then come back and have some cubbies. I’m glad they collected her safely! Now to see what pops out in a few months or so. Seems like this could have some panda satire possibilities, don’t you think?

I posted a comment with a link to an article that I though you would enjoy. However, the post just seemed to disappear rather than show the “pending” notification. I hope you got it.
