Roadblocks make for quiet zoos….

…and what with the traffic diversion from Zoo Atlanta to The National Zoo in Washington DC, it was very quiet.  You must admit that it was a very sophisticated bit of hacking for a six month old panda!

Princess Pinky has declined to comment on the “incident.”  “i don’ kno nuffing bout it,” said Princess P. through her press office, “but did you see i is on da cobber of anudder magazine? pinky is a star!”

This is bad news for Panda Scout Cookie sales! (But you can get Girl Scout cookies through March 16th!)

Time to call in …Inspector panda!

Huzzah! I’m sure Inspector Panda will be able to sort it all out. Um…pretty sure….

Huzzah! The Return of Inspector Panda!! Can’t wait. Wonder what flavour cuppycake he has 🙂
The Twinkies look adorable in their outfits. I fear bloated bellies may be on the horizon!

Huzzah! I believe Inspector Panda is eating a red velvet, red panda cuppycake. I just love a panda in uniform!

Inspector Panda would love a new cuppycake in his honor. Where oh where will he find the recipe? :o)

Maybe the ‘Lanta girls can do what that, um, very resourceful young girlscout did in Colorado. She set up her cookie stand outside a medical marijuana clinic.

About that Colorado photo, I’m suspicious that there was some heavy photo shopping going on with that photo. I finally found one of our local Girl Scouts selling cookies, and they said it was the first day of cookie season, and that photo was making the rounds at least a week or two before the season started.
      but…
If it is true, I think the twinkies would go for such a prime location. Their mom would make sure no one harassed them.

I love, love, love the Twinkies’ outfits. So cute – but so sad that no one is buying their cookies 🙁 I adore Pinky, but she’s becoming dastardly. Even Mr. Wu wouldn’t have done this!!! I’m sure he’s upset that Mr. Wu Wednesday has been gobbled up by gurls 🙂

Yes, he is quite upset that I have, at least temporarily, taken Mr Wu Wednesday off the blog. I did remind him that he is the only panda (so far) to have his very own book, (which will be out very soon!) But with so many other pandas, surely he doesn’t mind sharing.

Yes, Pinky is becoming quite the force to be reckoned with. Her big brother should never have given her that magical wand. Now, with two magazine covers, I’m afraid the power of the Pinky has gone to her head. (makes it more fun than just a bunch of really well behaved little pandas, don’t you think?

Don’t forget the NZ has “Pinky” Bao Bao’s little photo pasted all over their new van from Ford. What a way to market your products.

Love the little outfits. Did you see Mei Huan jumping up and down on the hammock yesterday? Reminded me of little kids jumping on the bed….she even fell off and bumped her head….

Oh, yet another avenue on the All-about-Pinky highway! I’d forgotten about her van. I hope the zoo isn’t letting Pinky behind the wheel!

I missed Mei Huan jumping on the bed. Thanks for the alert. Did anyone get a video capture of that? sounds like a cartoon to me!

Pretty sure Doxiemom got the highlights. Even Lun Lun was doing some impressive backflips from the top log down onto the hammock.

I just watched a liitle bit of Po doing somersaults into the hammock. The girl still has it going on! Huzzah for Doxiemom! She makes the best videos.

I think that Inspector Panda has …um..confiscated the boo-mints as evidence. And who would buy every box of cookies those little panda scouts had? I had a similar experience when a friend and her daughter, known to all as “the divine Chloe” came selling girl scout cookies. She was just amazed that EVERYONE she asked bough cookies. Duh. Life is easier when you are that cute.

Ha ha! “not the freshest cuppycake in the packet.” That is putting it mildly. I’m sure he will do every bit as well as you expect in his current case.

Inspector Panda is currently interviewing for the position. Babette de Panda and Mr. Wu are the current front runners.

          2. Panda in Chief Post author

I’m having a hard time deciding whether Babette would be Inspector Panda’s long suffering (and just a little bit in love with him) secretary, or whether a better role for her would be the “dame” that walks into his office with a case that turns out to be a big problem.

Not to mention the fact, that now that Mr Wu’s mom has kicked him out, he needs a job.

“I knew the moment she walked into my office she was trouble, 5 feet 4 inches of trouble. I could handle the black and white fur look and even the round face but the .45 in that big paw spoke volumes.”

Yeah, kind of like that. I laughed for about 4 minutes straight when I read this. Stay tuned for further developments.
