Fabulous Furry Friday presents…

What ABOUT Bob?

Bob was the first panda here to have a name, at least until Babette de Panda arrived on the scene. Then sometime later, the real Wu Self came on the scene and I started to recognize the value of having actual live pandas to  inspire the stories that you read here. Even all of my stuffed pandas were named Bob, with some kind of qualifying addition to the name, like Loud Bob and Shy Bob, Vampire Bob, Mini Bob, etc. That shows some imagination, doesn’t it?

A panda by any other name would still be called ‘Bob’

Do you smell smoke?

Bob still likes to get out in the field once in a while.

I think it’s a good thing to have a name that can be used for multiple characters (or stuffed pandas) and you always know what you are going to get when you have a character named “Bob”. Um…is that Bobism?

I’ll know that I’ve made it when I have an agent to manage my naps and snacks!

I’m intrigued by Bob and the magic slipper. I’m sure all ended well.

It’s possible that Bob got “poofed” by the magic slipper. Fortunately no long term harm was done.

Giving your fluffy pandas one name, with added descriptor, is a clever move. I’ve given mine different names but over the years I’ve forgotten a few. Then I have to give them a new name. Hope they don’t suffer from an identity crisis!

Even the descriptors get hard to remember after a while. Not that I have too many pandas or anything like that. Nuh uh! Besides…can THEY remeber their names? I think not.

I especially love the first FFF cartoon with newly-represented Bob T, Pinky and the flame thrower. Is that a metaphorical representation of how Pinky, as a character, disrupted your initial plans for Panda Satire? 🙂

I’m not sure there is anything metaphorical about Pinky’s destructive urges. She is always trying to get the better of me. Um…I mean “Bob”. Heh!
