A Halloween Carol

Yes, it’s time for that other holiday favorite, A Halloween Carol! (With apologies to Dickens! Sorry, Chuck!)

Let’s get right to it, shall we? Our story opens….

Bubba’s first feature role!

you…is…not…da…yawn…boss of…pinky…

Mr Wu makes a very cute ghost, don’t you think?

Hey! who said Wu could poof things?

halloween

One of Pinky’s misdeeds has come back to haunt her… can her campaign survive this?

Hmmm… Pinky still does not seem impressed. Perhaps the ghost of Halloween present will have more influence over her.

Uh oh, the ghost of halloween present just caught up with Pinky…

Was that list in small type, single spaced?

The Spirit of Halloweens yet to come is not a spirit to be messed with, right?

Surely you didn’t think she would totally reform, did you?

This series was originally broadcast in September and October of 2015.

Let that be a lesson to all who need a lesson, AmIRight?

Panda on!
Bob T Panda

And as a special bonus:

He’s small for now, but Bubba Bei Bei is shaping up to be a whole lot of panda!

I am particularly fond of pouty Pinky face in the ‘toon with her mom. Sigh. I know how she feels. Will our national nightmare ever end? How is yours going? At least Unka Justin got re-elected. I hope Canada learned something from our mistake.

Every time I read about the USA I’m stunned at just how bad a president can be. I don’t know how you guys are coping.
We’re getting really bad here too. We’re curtailing the freedom of the press and looking at making some types of protests illegal – mainly ones involving climate change or other “green” issues. There’s even been a suggestion to cut welfare payments for welfare dependent protesters. WTF! But as long as we keep to our racist ideologies, keep demonising refugees and constantly question the value of further migration, Australians seem happy to forgo a few basic political rights. The only bright spot for me is that I live in a very progressive state and our Labor leader is awesome. He’s pro women’s rights, pro gay rights, pro gender fluidity, pro refugees, pro multiculturalism and supports protests. We’re also the only state in the country that has voluntary assisting dying laws. I feel like I’m living in the last bastion of what once was a great country. If Victoria falls, I’m outta here! Thankfully Canada is still on my list now that Justin is back! And New Zealand has the wonderful Jacinta Ardern. They are two lights in a darkening world.

The short answer is that we are not coping very well. If I looked back on a timeline of everything that happened each week since tRUmp started his reign of terror, I think I would be shocked at the progression to where we are now. Each assault on democracy and the Constitution, I keep thinking, “this is the very bottom” and then I am horrified when it is not. I truly think his mental capacity is about to go off a cliff, and the fact that the rest of the GOP doesn’t stop him is pretty horrifying in and of itself.

I am sorry your country seems to be following the same path, away from the rights of the people and with a more authoritarian track. Like you, our state is very liberal and our governor is very committed to tackling climate change. I wouldn’t have though this country could fall so far, so fast.I’m just hoping that the impeachment proceedings open more people’s eyes to what is happening. I don’t think he will resign, and I don’t think the GOP led Senate will remove him.

Needless to say, Nixon’s Ghost is not ready to be silent.

One of my favorite toons! I love Pinky when she reforms a little! And Bubba! He is such a sweetie! Thank you for this repeat of this toon!

Ok! Everybody go vote on Tuesday! It is important! Too important not to vote! This is a dress rehearsal for 2020!

I have my ballot and am studying the various referendums and initiatives. Not much else on our ballot except for school board. (Pinky is not running) but I hear you have some important stuff in VA!
Pinky only reformed a little (and only temporarily!)
