31 Days of Pandas presents: A Bear of Little Brain…

…or is that the city council of Tuszyn, Poland? How can they ban the most beloved bear of all of children’s literature?

Sometimes I can’t make stuff up that is absurd as what I read on the news, and since this information has been reported in more than one media site, I am inclined to believe that this really happened. Poor Pooh Bear…banned from a playground for…um…not wearing any pants. Hello? He’s a BEAR. (not to mention fictional)

Naturally I had to write a comic about it.

The irony of Mehitabel criticizing Pooh Bear for his wardrobe, does not escape me.

I love my job.

Be the Bear! We’ll be back with more of 31 Days of Pandas Tomorrow!

My inner panda thinks this was so much fun. I am laughing the swirls away. As good as bear satire can be, especially since it includes Poland. Not that I have anything against Poland. Just that they have banned pantless Winnie-the-Pooh. Or Edward Bear.

Sometimes real news is even more absurd than anything I can come up with. Who knows why they think that fictional animals should have to comply with decency standards. I can just imagine what they would think of Goldilocks and the three bears.

I guess Donald Duck would be a porn star there too?? Who knew that A. A. Milne and Disney were such dirty old men. Yuck, looks even worse in print than it sounded in my head. For the record, in my opinion Pooh can do no wrong!!

I’m with you on being a big Edward Bear fan! There are few cartoon animals that would pass the porn test, if you are basing it on clothes. I repeat, they’re animals, not to mention fictional. And maybe they were dirty old men, but I doubt it. Sort of like going around and putting fig leaves on Greek statues. LOL

And of course the unabashed irony of a naked cat criticizing a half naked bear makes me laugh no end. A big LOL to the Polish town council who started this tempest in a teapot.
