Well, this is certainly the pot calling the kettle a crook, isn’t it? It’s hard not to simultaneously feel like the current constitutional crisis has echoes of the Watergate and Nixon scandals, and also that Nixon’s crimes were quaint. (Hint: they weren’t, but at least in that era there was still some sense that the constitutional checks and balances would keep the country from completely going off the rails.)
Let’s see what the ghost of Nixon thinks about how the current administration is doing.

I can’t believe I am typing this because he was NOT a good man, but… Under Nixon the EPA was established, as well as The Clean Air and Water Acts. His administration actually moved us in the right direction environmentally while Trump is moving us toward a cliff ( are we really Lemmings?) P.S. I love Mehitabel’s indignation. 🙂
Yeah, I have to admit, he did pull a few good things out of his…um…sleeve, but he was still evil. tRump has NO redeeming qualities. Frankly, I’m afraid he is going to piss China off badly enough that they take back all their pandas.
Hopefully the Chinese government is smarter than that, and they know that the MAJORITY of Americans do not support that ugly orange madman. I wonder if a letter writing campaign would help to convince them… but who to send them to?
I’m hoping China is smarter than to think we all support tRump. I don’t even know who you would write to. I’m willing to hide a couple pandas at my place. We would walk down the hill together to eat bamboo, and spend the afternoons sleeping on the porch.
