Walk Like a Bear

When I wrote this cartoon, a soundtrack of a ’60’s style, Jersey Boys band singing in a Frankie Vallee falsetto immediately started playing in my head.

Walk like a bear,
look at my hair,
I want some boo,
Don’t yo-oo-oou?

Ahem. Sorry. I digress. Today’s ‘toon features Pinky’s ever more popular brother. Will he surpass Princess Pinky in popularity? Will he become a Smithsonian Icon? Only time will tell….

These paws are made for walking....eventually.

ha ha ahaha! another great cartoon. I wonder why it’s taking so long for Boo Boo (“HEY!” “Oops, sorry, Bei Bei…”) to get his legs going back there. Worry…worry….

I’m sure he’s fine, but ahem…he does have a bit more bulk to heft, if you get my drift. Watching Mei haul him all over the place is a hoot. The other day she had him up on the rocks and put him really close to the edge, and I swear I heard him yell, “mommee! no! too cwose! too cwose! i gonna fall off!” but that could have been a technical glitch on my computer.

I just love watching that Bubba squirm! I think Princess Pinky may find she first has an adoring fan, then a minion and then finally realize just a normal little brother. And that little brothers could be, well as Pooh might say, a “bother.”
Happy Holiday Weekend, whatever you do, celebrate, or observe.
    ☆SAVINGS ALERT! I just saw on☆AMAZON☆
☆☆They are selling your coloring book for a seriously reduced cost, at least for me. Maybe because I have been suckered into their Prime Membership. Perhaps because it is selling well, I hope! ?✏?

I will check out Amazon’s amazingly low price and alert the masses!
It took my brother and I about forty years to finally connect as siblings. I don’t think Pinky and Bubba will take that long. She is definitely looking forward to the minion phase!

Have a happy weekend, hopefully without swirlies.

My Di Di and I are teaming up, as we have for years, for Thanksgiving. I’m allergic to turkey and like to bake; he has a flair for turkey. So it works for us, even if we bicker. I’m so glad we have that connection! I think Pinky and Bubba will learn to team up with each other, too–maybe even more than once a year!

I think they will too. Have the happiest of holidays. I am profoundly grateful for your presence here at the Panda Chronicles. You are the bear. I am lucky to have a group of good friends whom I share the day with. For those who care about this sort of thing, I am making my famed lemon tart for dessert!

I’ve got the Bangles song Walk Like An Egyptian running through my head – except it’s Walk Like a Panda Bear – da da da da …!
Bubba’s “splat” face is brilliant and so is Pinky’s frosting idea 🙂

I don’t know The Bangles song…I can’t get Frankie Vallee’s voice singing Walk like a Bear out of my head. Pinky does have some good ideas, but re: Ann Feldman’s comment above, Mei might hurt herself if Bubba gets any fatter…at least until he can walk!

Just what he needs…Frosting! He won’t need to walk, he will be able to roll along like a pill bug. He’s over 12 lbs now. Mei is going to need a chiropractor after dragging him around, in and out of the den all day. Right now she is giving him yet another baff in the doorway and chewing on him. Guess what? My coloring books came today. Derwent color pencils at the ready (plus all those Crayolas). Huzzah!

I’ve been coloring today myself. I decided it is an excellent way to get my mind in gear to draw. I am going to spend a half hour coloring while I have my coffee every morning instead of…um…frolicking on fezbook and twidder.
Yes, Mei will need a spa vacation after lugging Bubba around. Can I help it that he loves frosting?
