Even More from the Panda Season of Love

Last week one of my esteemed readers commented on this post of the day of “Z” with a delightful scenario based on ACTUAL PANDA COMMUNICATION from our panda neighbors to the North, Er Shun and Da Mao, currently residing in Toronto as part of the “putting pandas to work” program.

News item: Gao Gao, the San Diego zoo stud muffin and father of five, is recovering from surgery of *ahem* a delicate nature. For more information, read the San Diego Zoo blog.

Of course, this inspired me to write a cartoon, which would make even more fun of pandas (well, boy pandas anyway). Sometimes they just make it too easy for me.

If YOU have read a real news story that you think that pandas would enjoy having their way with, just send it on in a comment. don’t worry about trying to figure out what the pandas will have to say about it.  We might not even comment on the story directly, but you never know what is going to trigger some panda satirical thought in my fuzzy little head. Operators are standing by to take your call.

Ha ha! George Clooney… where do those little pandas get these ideas?

Politicians misbehaving? strange cuppycake vending machines showing up on your block? Interesting trends in fashion?  Pandas may be interested.

Yes, as one of my Canadian correspondents, it is definitely your duty to go and have a word with Da Mao. (And maybe you could ask Er Shun to cut him a little slack.)

Oh, yeah…I forgot about that bit of identity confusion. In that case, shouldn’t DaMao offer Er shun some cupppycakes or beer?

I haven’t, but if you watch the DC panda cam, you may have seen Princess Pinky practicing some pole dancing moves. As I don’t actually watch television, I’m not exactly sure what “twerking” is, but I think I have the general idea. I’m afraid I might get in trouble with Pinky’s mom if I have her do anything too suggestive.

Poor Da Mao! Looks like I’ll have some explaining to do when I get back to Toronto sometime in the near future!!!

I’m also dyin’ laughing that I have a shout out! Thanks so much!! I’m unfortunately too updated on celebrity animal gossip with the mating and dating of our animal friends! My aunt got mad at me for posting “nasty panda videos” one day and told my mom on me. I’m 35. And she told my mom on me.

Yes you certainly will have some ‘splaining to do! can’t a guy panda have a nice qquiet lunch without someone wanting him to do …um…something all the time?
And as to getting tattle-taled by your aunt at you advance age, let’s just say, don’t expect it to get any better anytime …in the next 30 years. (says the voice of experience.)
And happy to give shout outs when people supply me with good stories for the pandas. Love to share the credit (or blame) :o)

Ha! I love poor Bob T saying we don’t have all the facts – like what was Da Mao having for lunch! And it was cuppycakes!!
    I want Er Shun’s jacket 🙂

The menu is always important when we have to make decisions. And many female pandas have excellent wardrobbes.
