Bubba’s best friend is Ping Ping, an exchange student from China, who came to live with the DC pandas as a companion for Bubba. I don’t know what he’s learning, because all he ever says is “ping” but he says it so expressively that at least Bubba understands him perfectly. Ping wears his doggy costume, left over from the Year of the Dog panda kindergarten review that year. I think the zipper got stuck, because he’s still wearing it 2 years later. All the spots on his costume are hand felted, just so ya know!
