Twinkies 2.0

Lun Lun is now the reigning Hero Mom Rock Star of the U.S. pandas, bypassing previous record holder Bai Yun of San Diego by the – some would say nefarious dirty trick- of having not one, but TWO sets of twins, for a seven cubby total lifetime achievement award!  I never got to actually meet the Meihems, Well, we are not going to let that happen again, so I have made plans to meet the Twinkles 2.0 this very month! Stay tuned for a report, but in the meantime…

Here’s how they are preparing to meet their most ardent fans!

Well, I wasn’t able to pull off the cross-country trek to this year’s panda convention (only the 2nd one I’ve had to miss), so instead I ordered your new book (I haven’t missed any of those!) and perfectly it arrived this past Friday. So while you’ve been partying with 6 and 7, I’ve been enjoying time with Don’t-Call-Me-Boo-Boo and his sister and the rest of the panda crew + cat. Love this dance and I’m sure their pandaholic fans loved it too!

We did miss seeing you. I’m glad you had some new panda satire to distract you. Six and Sebben send their regards.

Totally adorable and so graceful! Love the toe shoes! Something about the concept of Pandas in ballet slippers really touches my heart. Like the dancing Hippos in Fantasia. Did the Twinkies use the music from La Gioconda too?

I’m sure that’s the music they used.
Yeah, pandas in toe shoes…nothing better. 🙂

I am hoping to see Six and Seven soon, too- new job and crazy schedule make it hard to plan yet, but it WILL happen! I was glad I got to see Bao Bao just before she left for China

I hope you get to see them soon, too. They are just at the stage where they are playing more. I watched two very good play sessions.

They didn’t have their toe shoes on for my visit, but they were still awfully darn cute.

Bob, inquiring minds (mine) want to know how your alter-ego pronounces her last name:

    Bee-love?
    Bell-love?
    – or my personal favorite:
    BEI-love?

Actually it is “Bell-of” but all of the options mentioned have been used. Who would think such a simple word could be pronounced so many ways?
