Episode 5: KittySue and the 3 Pandas

Oh my! What is going to happen next in the home of the pandas ? Stay tuned and find out…

But first, I had the weirdest dream last night. I’m not really sure what brought it on, but if anyone wants to try their hand at dream interpretation, have at it! So here’s what I can remember: I was at some big event, involving some sort of community, holiday dinner, but there weren’t many people there. I went to the dessert and coffee line to get some cake (!) but the guy behind the counter kept ignoring me. They started putting away all the cakes, but I still hadn’t gotten mine.

I said, “What about MY cake?” and he finally grudgingly cut a very large piece of cake, and tried to charge me, but I was pretty sure I had already paid. He did give me the cake, and then I turned to leave, trying to remember where my car was. Someone offered to show me a short cut but after we went through a tunnel, we were in a totally different town and my car was nowhere to be seen. I went back through the tunnel, but the cafe was gone and I was even more lost.

I then had to go through tiny doorways, crazy, precarious looking stairways, and then some sort of attic-y looking area with cats and who knows what else. I think this is where I woke up. I never found my car, and I think I lost the cake.

Go figure!

And now, for today’s episode of KittySue and the 3 Pandas!!!!

BTW, the Whidbey Island gallery that represents my work is moving to Langley from their location of 9 years at The Greenbank Farm. They are conducting a fund raising campaign to help them with the move. You can learn all about it here. Thanks for checking it out and helping if you can.

A cuppycake licked by KittySue is one cuppycake I don’t want!

As for your dream, there are multiple ways of looking at it. As a Jungian theorist I first look at the symbols and give generic suggestions to what they might mean.
Cake = something you desire. Not being able to get it and then losing it may suggest you fear you won’t be getting something you want and deserve.
Car = control, especially self control. Losing control of your car or not being able to find it can mean you feel that things around you are spiralling out of control.
Tunnels, doorways and stairways = classic symbols of journeys, especially through the unconscious realm.
Attic = the unconscious. An attic is an upstairs room so it may suggest that something from your deep unconscious is ready to come into consciousness. This is further suggested by the fact that you “woke up” in there.
Cats = the cat could be the key to what is trying to become conscious. The cat would have many meanings for you so I would explore how you felt when the cats were around.
The key to Jungian dream analysis is that you have to look at what the symbols mean to you. They are coming from your imagination and are therefore specific to you.
    Hope this helps 🙂

Actually, this is quite an interesting interpretation, and yes, it’s true. My life often feels like it’s spiraling out of control. But I will also admit, than when I’ve plowed through all the deadlines, I feel somewhat adrift without deadlines.

It did help, and now I’m left with the job of figuring out what to do with all this insight. Maybe after I have some cake.

You had to deal with obstacles to get what you wanted, and even more obsticles to set yourself free from that place, and you lost your means of getting free, and you still didn’t have what you wanted. 🙁 it makes me cry and it wasn’t even my dream!

I’m loving these interpretations. I should say that i often have dreams involving my car, and not being able to find it, and when I do, it is often undrivable because it has deflated, or full of all my furniture.mobviosly I am a very disturbed individual.

Interesting dream! But OBVIOUSLY it got mis-routed from the Panda dream source. YOU would NOT dream of a big slice of cake! If it had been a big platter of CUPPYCAKES, then it would be a different story altogether. So rest easy and panda-dream on.

Well, pandas love all frosted things, even frosted flakes! But for some reason, the dream was about cake and not cuppycakes.

That is one really odd dream! Worst part was losing the cake! (I’m sure you have car insurance, but cake insurance? No they have not come up with that yet.
