If you thought the second week of November was bad…

So…. we’re not going to wake up from this, are we? As I listen to Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me, it becomes increasingly clear that I am NOT hallucinating, experiences with mind altering drugs in the ’70’s notwithstanding. (Um…Chas, don’t mention this to mom, okay?) So, if you thought November was depressing (despite it being my birthday season) just wait till you experience January 20th!

It’s gonna be YUGE!

November

Can I open my eyes yet?

Interestingly (well, to me, anyway) I wrote this BEFORE the intelligence report was released last week. Just saying. The prognosticatory potential of pandas is prodigious!!!!

I will panda on till they lock me up!

And may I say, the next books on my to buy list are the graphic novel series March, the real life story of Congressman John Lewis. I’ve been wanting to read these for a while, but his current example of speaking out according to his convictions gives me hope.

Today, we listened to one of our favorite radio programs, Glen Jones on WMFU, and the first song he played was Eve of Destruction!

Courage. And it is hard. I know. I feel the same way. I keep thinking it is all a dream, and I will wake up, and Hillary will be President. I read the BuzzFeed information, and I am wondering why we have not gathered up all the US citizens named in this information and started to question them? Hang on tight to your family, friends, and pandas. With you.

I try so very hard to be a brave little panda, but really, it is so difficult. Thank you for standing by me and sending messages to take heart and have courage. We are going to need every little bit of courage we can muster.

I love your satire! And I think that The Orangeman should leave John Lewis alone – Mr, Lewis DID something for this country. All the Orangeman is going to do is be a spoiler

He picked the wrong man to pick on, and if he had ANY knowledge of the history of this country, he might not have been so quick to strike out. Then again, I am presuming some molecule of rational thought governs his behavior, and I think I give too much credit. As I somewhat jokingly say when someone tells me something I am not supposed to repeat, “It wasn’t about me, so I won’t remember it.” In HWMNBN’s case, he’s not joking when he says that.

Thank you! I was going to reply to you excellent post, and if it’s okay with you, I will link to it when I am setting up my Wednesday post. I am so proud of you for standing up for the forces of good, and for going to the Millions and Millions of Women March in DC. Look for folks with panda hats and ears. They are probably friends of mine. In fact, keep your eye out for pandas, because they are incensed and concerned about the future as well. When you are already endangered, there is not a lot of slack available.
So good to see a post from you. I miss them and they are one of the ones I always read!
Panda on and we shall overcome! As you can see, I am protesting in my own pandy way.

Be careful with that ticket purchase. It may have strings attached. Although with what we now have to look forward to in this universe, I’m not sure it would be a bad deal.

As I’m writing this, the panda-loving world is celebrating a certain much loved panda’s re-entry into the world of trees and grass and fresh air, so I’m feeling somewhat generous in nature. I am going to admit that I owe a debt of gratitude to HWMNBN for helping me to forge a stronger bond with my God. I’ve never done so much praying and asking for forgiveness for my evil thoughts since November 9.

Well, that’s certainly one way to look at it. I’m so glad to hear that Bubba has been released back into nature. I hope he is having a wonderful day.
