The Pitter Patter of Little Paws, part 7

Things have been rather quiet in San Diego of late, but is that all going to change come July or August? Time will tell, but will the great Wu Self be ready?

What would Wu do?

What would Wu do?

Some might say that Bai Yun has more than done her part in the great panda proliferation project, but she is such a wonderful panda mom, it would be lovely to see her with one more cub. I’d happily volunteer to babysit if you know, she gets tired.

You’ll hear all about it here, at The Panda Chronicles, as we listen for the pitter patter of little paws.

Be the Bear,
Bob T. Panda

I really hope so! It would be wonderful. I know the zoo panda staff and their Chinese advisors wouldn’t have let it happen if they didn’t think she was healthy enough. and she is so good at it, too.

Well, would you be chill in that circumstance. Nope, me either. We pandas of a certain age should get some respect!

The shocking thing is what Lun Lun was doing the whole time, while claiming how exhausting the twins were, and what happened at the end!

Bai Yun is a wonderful panda- the Empress herself even acknowledged me when I told her she was beautiful!

Bai Yun is quite the Empress isn’t she? Lucky you to get an acknowledgement. I hope Lun Lun can keep her inner Southern Belle in check and not unleash it on Bai again. I think the twins nanny service suited Lun Lun very well.

Bai Yun is my hero Mom too! I’m glad that the zoo staff and the Chinese advisers think she’s healthy enough for another cub. Won’t that be fun for all of (except Mr. Wu) if she has a cub!

Yes, Mr. Wu won’t be the most enthusiastic proponent of this idea, but I’m sure he’ll come around. I am very excited about the possibility. Must chill till then, or I’ll burn myself out. I’m hoping for a cuberful year!

I’m not sure, but if you find out, please let me know too. Seems like overnighters would be part of the package. Can you just imagine a tiny sleeping panda cuddled in you lap?

Mr Wu really wants to be cool and act like nothing fazes him, but he can’t quite pull it off. I expect some major angst from him as we all anxiously await some news of pitter pattering little paws come July or August.

Mr Wu swore to me that he will try to be a brave and supportive big brother if his mom has another cubby, but I’m not buying it. I think there are going to be tantrums in more than one house of pandas.
