Remembering

It was the best of times. It was the worst of times. And with apologies to Charles Dickens, we seem to be living those times again. It is a day for remembering the events of 15 years ago, and a day for remembering that good things happened as well, on this day of sadness and terror brought home. Happy birthday Cami. Sorry this day will forever be wrapped in sadness. We can only go forward from here, and hope that enough people remember that they could embrace what is good instead of building walls against what is bad, because that really doesn’t work, now, does it?.

And of course, pandas have a lot to say about this.

Today is a good day to be the bear.

Today is a good day to be the bear.

And a note about Wednesday’s post; we have invited a special guest to join us here at The Panda Chronicles! Our friend Hazel Mitchell, who we met at the Nevada SCBWI Mentor program last year, has a new book out this week about a special furry friend of hers. Pinky has agreed to interview Toby, which, frankly, I don’t know how this is going to work. Pinky PROMISED she would be nice to Toby, but “Pinky-Nice” may not exactly be anyone else’s definition of “nice”. Let’s just cross our fingers and hope for the best! Pinky Promise my eye!

      They are, are they not?
Good to hear from you today. Days like this always make me want to gather those I have met along the way and make sure they are all safe. I hope the writing is going well and you are further down the publishing path. Keep at it! I’m waiting for your book.

Well said Bob! If only there was a way Panda Chronicles could be posted on the door of the penthouse of a certain ostentatious high rise building on Fifth Avenue in NYC. I don’t know, do you think lovable pandas could ever penetrate that mean-spirited psyche that resides there?

Hazel and Toby are both lovely and I sure hope Pinky puts her best paw forward during her interview!

I am way too afraid of a certain someone setting his sights on my beloved pandas. They prefer to remain beneath the radar where He Who Shall Not Be Named is concerned. I am not sure he is teachable, quite frankly.

I am hoping Pinky can behave herself. Toby is very shy. She promised she would be “good”, what ever that means for Pinky.
