News of the Panda World: Secret Emails Revealed!

Well the wait is over and it is now known that Mei Xiang is not and possibly was never pregnant.  While we are sorrowful for this disappointing news, it didn’t stop us from hacking into Mei’s private email correspondence with other pandas at American zoos.  Here is a transcript of a number of communications:

firstpanda@nationalzoo.bear to gracelandpanda@memphiszoo.cute :  Hey, YaYa. Guess you heard the news by now.  I tried to keep the thing going, but finally, I was just tired of the charade.  How goes life in the south? LOL

gracelandpanda@memphiszoo.cute to firstpanda@nationalzoo.bear:  I feel your pain.  The thing is its just way to hot down here to even think about…well you know.  And by the way, just ignore anything Lun Lun writes to you. She’ll pretend she’s sympathetic, but she really just wants to brag.

Firstpanda to gracelandpanda: Thanks for the heads up. I put my phone on voice mail so I don’t have to listen to her.  Who cares about Po or Pooh’s toilet training anyway?  I’m just hoping they’re not going to come up with some excuse to deport us. It’s not MY fault, if you get my drift….

southernbelle@pandamom.cub to firstpanda: Hey sweetie, I keep getting you’alls machine and I just wanted to send my …condolences.  Did I tell you about the cutest thing Po did yesterday?  Well, I have to go. A mother’s work and all…bye now!

surferbear@sandiegozoo.beach to firstpanda:  Hey man, so sorry about your loss or whatever. We’ll all be meditating and lighting incense for you, that is if I can find some matches.  After that little incident in the gift shop, they are keeping a close watch on the fire-sticks.  Keep the faith. Peace and love….

Well, that’s all we have time for today. Tune in for more of our clandestine look into the private communications of the American panda populace!

      Thanks, Holly,
We try to keep up with current events (so we can make fun of them, of course!) If we can’t laugh at something, life is just not worth living!

Bob T. – Here is a potential continuance.

So Mei you know that being Ya Ya the “Diva” is not easy. Going to get my hair and nails done and spa days…just doesn’t leave much time for cubbies. And the big stud over is not so good at romance…LOL!

Well, imagine if you were a fat guy in a fur coat in Memphis in the summer, you wouldn’t be such a hunk-a hunk-a burning love either! Thanks for the input. More email transcriptions are under way, but you know it is hard to type on a little lap-top with my big furry paws! will get more emails up (and more cartoons!) asap! Thanks again for joining the fun here in pandyland!

The donation of another proven male has been tried….I think she is holding out this time for natural breeding. That brings up a family problem since Tian is half brother to Bai Yun—–we would not like to see Gao Gao loose is right ear if they got caught.

Well I am glad to put a “Tack Strip” under any wheels I can……Did you not know how this will explode????? You will have to get a good looking young girl Panda just to help with the e-mails.
It is good to know you have a rich fantasy life. If you want some good reading go to the SDZ Blog—Comments section. When Yun Zi has something to say or a story to tell—and many others too—-it is a trip. Look for Lucilla, P. Wong, and some that you will find because of those layouts—they are well worth the time—if you have the time and inclination.
From what I have seen of family trees all of the “Panda Families” outside of China are all related in some way……all of the babies returning to the parent’s homeland are cousins. The best times are when the NannyKeepers are off duty and are not in attendance. That is when the families get together for celebrations, American style or Chinese—-and they travel all over the world to attend. A singing group called The Panda Girrrls formed—Su Lin, ZZ and Princess Lin Ping. The younger “cousins” are mostly boys, so Yun Zi formed a band with the ones old enough to travell a bit. He also hopes to get a Kung Fu-Yunior Style-school going to teach the younger ones how to take care of things when he goes to China to find his “Forever Princess”. He has 3 older sisters and 1 older brother keeping an eye out for him so he has the best selection.
I have been keeping in touch with him a bit late night-early morning since we keep the same hours. I started looking in on the Pandas the day he was born—-that was when I found out there was a web-cam and blog. I had no idea how much they could take over my computer. I hardly have time to play free slots anymore. The worste part is that I live in the same town as the Bai Yun-Gao Gao family, but have never visited in person yet—YET.
I did not mean to write a book, but sometimes I get carried away-I think it is because there is a panda family in town. Tonight a group of fans is spending the night at the Zoo for a “Black and White Overnight”. They even fly in from Canada, and the east coast to parrticipate. Last Year they were allowed to sit quietly on the ground a few feet from the Pandas (it was one of the 2 daughters—I cannot remember which one) for about a half hour, with a chian link fence and a few feet separating them. I do not know how the Pandas were, but the people were very good, and they just might repeat that tonight. After the zoo closes tonight they get a special tour of black and white animals—-but we all know it is mostly about the Pandas.

One more thing and then I will shut up.
All of Gao Gao’s babies have a “webbed toe” situation—-left back foot, webbing between toes 2 and 3. He has the same webbing too….but we do not know if they have examined the first grandson in China for webbing, yet. Gao has to be a good boy or he will be found out!! Love AuntieGrammmie

From what I had read already I thought a few facts might be helpful in this case, and this one is really real—all 4 (so far) have the webbed toes. I would not want to explain to Gao Gao if she has a Fifth and the toes are not webbed. I would not be Bai Yun for all the treats she might ever get and has already gotten….Love Grammmie
