Inspector Panda, a Bear of Few Words

Inspector Panda is back with the next episode as he moves towards the scene of the crime.  He will get to the bottom of this, mark my words. I’m sure The sultry Babette de Panda is up to no good, but the clever young Mr Wu is sure to solve the mystery! (It’s in his contract…His mother made me put it there, and who would argue with a mother panda?)

Meanwhile I got a mention for a post I wrote on my Nothing Overlooked blog on Jane Steen’s blog, Keep Going You Fool in a discussion on ethics in independent publishing.

Ahem…Inspector Panda is waiting!

More art historical references, of course!

More art historical references, of course!

Progress continues on Book 5 of the Panda Chronicles: Pandapocalypse Now! as well as The Panda Chronicles Cuppycake cookbook.  What do you say we invite Chef Vicky V. over to share a cupcake recipe so you can do a little taste testing?  Huzzah!

Keep Being the back-to-school Bear!

Who’s he? (I’ll look him up. Actually I’m still channeling Hopper. Except for the last panel, that one I made up.

On Facebook you mention you were having struggles with posting. I read that Facebook had some challenges today, as did eBay, but that Facebook is reported to be back in action now. The other, which I have never used and I am surely misspelling is said to be not. I am not sure if this is related to your issues, but a friend lets a another Bear know.

That must have been what was going on. I can only deal with technology when it works perfectly, requiring little knowledge from me. And then of course, there is the typing with big furry paws thingie too. It’s no wonder pandas are endangered.

Sorry, another technology question. I haven’t gotten an email since August 24th. I figured that I had somehow been dropped from the list, so I tried to sign up again. It won’t let me!! I get “You have already subscribed to this site, please check your inbox.” Help, I say is needed! Is Inspector Panda available for side jobs?? Or at least suggestions??

Inspector Panda, after carefully examining all the evidence, has discovered that…um…I haven’t sent any emails since August 24th (and quite frankly, we can’t even remember sending that one!) We have been shamefully lax in sending out pandy news and we are really embarrassed about it, if you want to know the truth.

We were surprised that Inspector Panda figured it out so quickly, as he is not the sharpest pencil in the box, if you know what I mean, especially where technology is concerned.
I promise we will do better…um…real soon. I can’t even figure out how to sign up for some of this stuff. I can think of at least one other blog that I thought I was signed up for to get in my email, and the same thing happens when I try to sign up for them again. Sigh.

There are two sign-up forms, one to get the blog posts by email, and one to get the newsletter, and they are both at the top of the right hand column. Hope this helps.

My question related to receiving the blog posts via email, as there were posts on the site after the last one I got via email, and the sign-up form at the top right is the one that refused to come to my aid (lol). HOWEVER, I am happy to report that I got an email this very morning. Perhaps somebody’s frosting tinged paws have been hard at work after all! Either way, I am happy again. Cupcakes anyone?

I wish I could take credit for solving your problem, but I have no knowledge of how those things work. All can say is check your spam/junk mail folder. Glad it sorted itself out. WordPress just updated it’s operating system or what ever it is, and maybe that has made a difference, as I just updated it yesterday. Has anyone else been having problems with this? As I mentioned, there is one of my friend’s blogs that I have signed up for and never get. Unfortunately she is as clueless as I am about how to resolve this issue.
I’m sure the panda kindergarten is responsible in some fashion, but whether it is for the problem, or the fixing thereof, I could not say.

Um….I believe I’ve signed up for the blog email thingie several times and alas, have no recollection of ever receiving one. Not that I’ve missed anything, mind you, because a bear has a second sense when it comes to pandy news, cartoons or blog postings. That, and when my Cuppycake Alarm starts flashing. Of course, the Alarm only works if I don’t eat it first.

I wish I knew how to make the blog show up in your email. Have you checked your spam folder? I have the same trouble with one of my friends’ blogs. I try signing up and I never get a notification when she posts. I’ll see if I can find anything out, but when ever I try to ask a question of the wordpress powers that be, unless you ask exactly the right question, worded the right way, it’s hard to get the right answer.
You might try putting yourbrainonpandas@gmail.com in your address book. that might help.
I wish I knew how to fix these things.
