Everything Wants to be Round

I’ve been having so much fun watching the newest of the DC panda cubs reach milestone after milestone…surviving, getting his black and white markings, opening his eyes, and getting fatter, and round and fatter…and…fatter.

This was bound to happen sooner or later.

Feed me, Mama!

Feed me, Mama!

Meanwhile, I don’t think that Pinky was in the least reformed after her adventure in A Halloween Carol. ( You can see them here if you missed them.) As you can see, she has hacked into my computer again and put her headline over mine. Hmmph!

In other panda satire related news, by popular demand, I am working on a Panda Chronicles Coloring Book. If you hadn’t already noticed, coloring books are not just for kids anymore. Adults are jumping on the bandwagon, and getting their own sets of colored pencils and big boxes of colorful marker pens.  These will be available in short order (I hope) as I recently published The Panda Chronicles Book 6: WE R Endangered, so the process is fresh in my mind. I will let you know here on this very site (as well as on Fezbook and Twidder) when the pandas create a colorful swath through the pages of Amazon.

Speaking of Amazon, They have just opened a brick and mortar store at University Village in Seattle (We used to call it Village of the Damned when I worked for a coffee behemoth which shall remain nameless.) If you are a Seattle person, who might occasionally visit said VotD, please stop in and ask for my books. I would love to see the Panda Chronicles in a live bookstore in Seattle. I would happily send you a signed bookplate or three! You can contact me through the “Contact” page. Handy, that!

Till we meet again,
Be the Bear

Well, there’s good news and bad news. The good news is that the baby is growing fast. The bad news is that the high chair is now too small.

And with the budget deficit will they allocate money for a new high chair for a baby panda? Who knows! And what about a wardrobe?

Glad you enjoyed it. As far as I can remember, this never happened to me, but then again, my memory isn’t what it used to be. I thought Pinky was very restrained in her comments and amusement.

Oh my, I was worried this could happen 😉 I’m sure you know a child who was really big for his or her age, and everyone expects him/her to act so grown up! Love the bib and the spoon!

I’m sure this never…um…happened to me, but I have repressed my childhood, so there could be parallels. I love drawing fat little pandas!

The way Bubba waves that spoon around reminds me of someone – Pinky and her wand! Could Bubba end up with a very special magic spoon?
While Pinky may not have learned much during her Halloween adventure, she is turning out to be a lovely older sister.

Jayelle also suggested that Bubba’s spoon might have magical powers. Mei is hoping not. Actually, I don’t think it even occurred to her. I think it is an excellent suggestion, and opens up some fun ideas for me. Heh heh….

MOL!!! “more foo now!” What is Mommee feeding lil’ Bubba? X-strength & X-vitamin enriched strained ‘boo? Luv Bubba’s “punk” hair-fur!

It os all that bathing that mommee Mei is doing to bubba that makes his fur stand up. He does seem to be getting some serious nutrition. I certainly hope that Pinky doesn’t start telling him stories about exploding baby pandas that got too fat. That would be mean.

Well, Mommee Mei has had plenty of experience at “fur styling”. Her fur usually looks so beautiful and sleek, but about now, she could use a trip to the “Panna Day Spa” to remove Bubba’s slobber! Um, Pinky, with tutu up under her pawpits, really shouldn’t talk about “exploding pandas”. Might have to suggest larger tutus before she hits the cubpaign trail!

Isn’t that always the way? People (not to mention pandas) are the most critical of their own faults. A trip to the Panna Day Spa would be most welcome! I will suggest the “Chubby Cubby” dress shop to Pinky.
