Day 31: The Ultimate 31 Days of Pandas Post

It has finally arrived! Day 31 of 31 Days of Pandas. As ever, I am grateful to all who have stuck it out, all who have commented, all who have embraced these pandas and welcomed them onto your screen. I am especially grateful to those of you who have bought my books and goodies from my Pandyland Cafe Press store! But mostly, I am grateful that you enjoy what I do here, and have chosen to return.

The life of a creative professional ( a term I am not entirely comfortable with, but it is the closest I can come to what it is I do) is a very uncertain one. Will anyone respond to my work? Will I make enough money to live? Should I have married a dentist, like my parents wanted? Will I have to endure one more family dinner with great Aunt Mildred telling me how successful her daughter is, and how she just bought a vacation home in Hawaii? And what was it you do, again?

I was reminded recently of Neil Gaiman’s commencement speech that he gave at MY alma mater, The University of the Arts,  in 2012.  It’s referred to as “the make good art” speech, and that sums it up. All I want to do is make good art, and maybe tell some good stories along with it. The video is about 20 minutes long, but well worth it. It’s inspiring as all get out! Go watch it. We’ll wait right here…

Meanwhile, it’s New Year’s eve at the panda kindergarten…

new years eve party, panda kindergarten

The panda kindergarten at their best…or is that worst?

And we still have to finish the 12 Days of Crispmoss…

On the twelfth day of Crisp-Moss, My Panda cam Did See....

Never ever marry the dentist. Unless of course you are madly, passionately and exceedingly The Way of The Panda in love with the dentist. Then it is different. I married the CPA, I know of what I speak. BLERGH.

The wise and happy panda, and the the wise and happy person, searches for snd develops their inner snd outer Joy.

Wise you did. Thank you for sharing your talents with us. Happy New Year.
    Back to reading the drawings.

Fortunately it is too late for me to marry a dentist. But I do need to get my fangs cleaned. Sigh. Being an adult panda is often tedious. I hope the new year brings you better health and of course, lots of pandas.
Thanks for joining me on this pandy journey. Think #Pandas4WA in 2016!

Thank you for joining in the fun. We shall see if Pinky is victorious, but in the meantime, it’s going to be a glorious year.

You and the Panda Chronicles have brought such fun and joy into my life. I also love pandas but I also love art and literature which is what you do so well. Happy new year to everyone at the Panda Chronicles and best wishes for another fun year! Thank you!

Thank you thank you. It has often been said that those of us in the creative professions got there partly from talent, but also from the single-mindedness that only comes from insecurity and an unhappy childhood. We would stand on our head while twirling a baton and singing the star spangled banner if we thought it would make some one love us.
I’m no good at twirling, so therefore pandas and painting. Thank you again. See you on the other side of the annual divide!

Thank you for a wonderful 2015. It had its ups and downs but the pandas were always there to comfort, console and give much needed laughs.
Wishing everyone a fabulous 2016 full of – pandas!

Happy New Year from Winky & Cee! Many thanks for all the smiles, giggles and even the tears Panda Chronicles provided in 2015. Can’t wait to see what Pinky, Bubba, Mommee, Daddee, etc, have in store for us in 2016!

Pearls & White-Tie are “must-have” Panda accessories, they wear them sooo well.

Thanks for coming on board here at the Institute for Contemporary Panda Satire. Mehitabel really appreciates having another feline around to keep the pandas in line. (PK: as if!!!!)
