Oh my! The suspense here at 31 Days of Pandas is getting too much to bear…get it? Too much to…oh, never mind. You knew I had a weird sense of humor already, so no complaining in the cheap seats.

Let’s get back to it’s a Wunderful Life, shall we?

It's a Wonderful Life parody

Repeat after me, “It’s a story” ‘kay?

Everytime a bell rings, a panda gets a cuppycake.

You didn’t think I was going to make you wait another day for the heartwarming schmoopy ending did you? what kind of bear do you think I am?

And while you are doing your holiday shopping, why not add a Bee, the bear, mug to your collection! Yours for the asking (well, and your credit card) from Pandyland at CafePress!

I attribute it to the fact that my head is full of all sorts of trivia from every movie I’ve ever seen, every TV show, and every song I’ve heard or book I’ve read. Then somehow it all gets smooshed together with pandas and this is what comes out.
I follow a strict regime of “Pantser plotting” which means that I don’t often have a pre-conceived idea of where the story is going to go before I start. I just start writing, and even when I’ve written out the outline for the day’s cartoon, it changes with whatever inspiration I get when I start drawing. Since with the cartoons, I am just doing a few panels at a time, even for these longer stories, i make it up as I go along.

I am now working on a major revision of the Mr Wu, Inspector Panda series that I did last year. It will change a lot in some ways, and not so much in others. Stay tuned!
Well, that was the long answer. The short answer is who the heck knows?

Yes, even as small cubbies, the Meihems and Pinky were who they would become. I do love a happy ending!

{sniff} Yea liddle Wu, all’s well dat ends well. Bee is so wise & her mug is bootiful! Dat “boo beer” must be some strong stuff. Wu’s Mom looks like she is auditioning for a remake of “I’ll Cry Tomorrow”, originally w/Susan Hayward. But we don’t recall da “that rotten cat” line. Cee agrees dat da older movies, books & music are da best for inspiration!

Is dat a “Pinky Angel” on top of da tree? So cute!

Hmmmm…we may have paraphrased a bit from the original Jimmy Stewart movie. I do love a happy ending! The dastardly cat was played by Mittens, a former presifpdential candidate, who ran against Bob in the last election cycle.
