Summer Camp Surprises

What kind of surprises will be in store for our intrepid panda pals, as the arrive at the summer camp for The Institute of Inner Panda Studies? They might be surprised to learn that they already have a fan club! I’m sure the panda kindergarten has internet access, so of course they would already know all about Pinky and the Meihems, wouldn’t they?

Let’s join Pinky and the Meihems as this year’s panda kindergarten welcomes them to summer camp !

Pinky: after all, i AM a icon!!!!

Who, indeed is in charge around here? Stay tuned to this station on your radio dial, panda satire fans!

Jump up and down and clap your paws!

Oh, yeah!
Wave your paws in the air
like there’s something stuck in there,
clap your paws,
clap your paws
and don’t stick them in your jaws
It’s a panda dance woohoo

Ahem… put your paws together because we are almost at the end of our Kickstarter campaign!

Put your paws together for the panda kindergarten!

Fabulous Furry Friday Salutes…

…the panda kindergarten!

What could be better for this Friday the 13th than a look at the panda kindergarten, those rascally, recalcitrant, ruffians? They are the inspiration (well one of the inspirations, anyway,) for my newest book, Pandamorphosis!

2009 panda kindergarten class

The first appearance of the panda kindergarten, in much (MUCH) more innocent times…

And BTW, we’ve been making some guest appearances around the interwebs: hear just where all these pandas came from on Cordelia’s Mom, Still, and how Pandamorphosis finally got published on Cordelia Calls it Quits.  There will be some more guest appearances over the next couple weeks, which I will be sure to alert you to!

Meanwhile, back to the pandy kindy:

panda on rocking horse

wheel of pandas 1

The panda kindergarten’s hit game show, wheel…of…pandas!!!!!!

And of course, who could forget the panda kindergarten in their first appearance in the Panda Olympic Games?

Going for the chip.

Going for the …um…chocolate chip.

But the panda kindergarten may be best known for leading some of the newer and younger pandas astray…Sigh….I’m sure they are trying to be good…

"You are right and Wu is wrong...I'll never do it again, mommy."

“You are right and Wu is wrong…I’ll never do it again, mommy.”

And while we are thinking about Friday the 13th, (We were? Isn’t that kind of scary?) be sure to stop over to VSomethingSpeaks for this interesting look at the myths and mystery of Friday the 13th, which this very day is paired up with the full moon!

See you on Sunday for the exciting conclusion of “Pinky and the Meihems take a Hostage” (there is a panda scout merit badge for hostage taking, isn’t there?) and the return next Wednesday of Inspector Panda and the Case of the Picturesque Panda!

Keep Being the Bear!

and yes, it’s now available on Amazon!

Enjoy these Rabble-Rousing Pandas…

…while I rack my brain for recollections of words that start with the letter “R”

While ragamuffin rabble rousing renegades run rampant raising hell around the panda kindergarten classroom, I request that you recall your favorite reads of childhood.  Do you remember rambling tales of ransomed rascals? Stories of rebels rebounding through rebirth and revelation? Recall recalcitrant renegades rebuffing requests to rebuild? Rah Rah!

The letter “R” rejoices for the panda kindergarten!

The panda kindergaten knows where you live.

The panda kindergaten knows where you live.

to repeat…

The panda kindergarten captures Mr Wu

Evilness is one thing, but there must be snacks! An episode of “The Wizard of Wu”

Look out Mehitabel! here comes the panda kindergarten!

Look out Mehitabel! here comes the panda kindergarten!

But sometimes, there is redemption….

Today, you are a bear.

Today, you are a bear.

Thanks again to the A to Z blog challenge for hosting all of us and bringing new readers to our shores, even if it is mostly each other.  Huzzah!

Be the Bear, Right?

I feel truly Fabulous on Fabulous Furry Friday

…because my kickstarter project is doing so well in the first two days. As of last night we have passed our initial funding goal, but are we stopping there? No we are not! One of the things that Kickstarter advises, is that you ask for the bare (or ‘bear’) minimum that it will take to both do your project, and fulfill your rewards.  This is because it’s an all or nothing deal.  If you really need $10,000 or the project can’t happen, It doesn’t make any sense to give you the $5,000 if that’s all you’ve raised, because then you can’t do the project, or fulfill the rewards, and then people get kind of snarky. (For good reason)

But, if you’re thinking ahead, there are always more parts to the project than you’ve first presented, and if you make secondary goals, maybe you can do some of them too, if you raise enough money. So get on over to the project, and sign up for a book or some original art.  There will be some new rewards later today as well as some clearly stated additional goals.

Of course the panda kindergarten wanted to lend a hand with the fundraising, and who am I to say “no”?  (Nobody says “no” to the panda kindergarten!)

fundraising on Kickstarter

Ha ha! George Clooney… where do those little pandas get these ideas?

But just because we are doing well, it doesn’t mean that we are out of the woods (or that we are doing what bears usually do in the woods!)

The panda kindergarten has been SOOOOOO helpful in past campaigns:

Says Babette de Panda: "It's all about MOI` "

Says Babette de Panda: “It’s all about MOI` “

And here’s a little something from the panda kindergarten as they celebrate valentines day…

How splendiferous is chocolate? Let me count the ways

In celebration of the release of Nobody Expects the Panda Kindergarten….

…we bring you a new cartoon about none other than the panda kindergarten! Huzzah!  We promise that Princess Pinky will be making occasional appearances on Mini Mei Monday, but she is still too young to have a whole day every week all to herself.  (“no! i isn’t!”)

Varooooooomba! Thanks to Lynnie Ness for alerting us to the "off label" use of the Roomba robot vacuum cleaner.

And yes! we have released the third volume of the collected cartoons of the Panda Chronicles!  Huzzah! Book 3 is titled: Nobody Expects the Panda Kindergarten!  The wind may howl and rain may fall, but it won’t keep the panda kindergarten from their appointed rounds! This (and all the other books in the series) are available through Amazon and you can find them by following either the link in the right hand column, with the colorful cover, or by going to the page titled “The Panda Chronicles: The Book(s)” at the top of this page.  It’s not too early to get copies for holiday presents!

Meanwhile, Mr. Wu will return on Wednesday with the next episode of his adventure in the Wizard of Wu.  I can hardly wait to see what happens next!

Till then, Be the Bear!
