And now, the envelope, please…..

As you can imagine, Babette de Panda was quite disappointed that she was not nominated for an Oscar this year (we hesitate to point out that she did not appear in a new film this year, as she tends to be…um…well, you know).  She did attend the awards ceremony as a presenter, and we were lucky to obtain this footage, from sources that must remain, for obvious reasons, anonymous.

What will Christopher Robin say about this?

Hope you are having a happy Monday! Don’t forget to tune in onWednesday when we present the next installment of “A Pirate’s Life for Mister Wu”

That is quite the fetching hat that my favorite cartoon panda wore to the Oscars as a presenter—I bet it got voted the best among pandas. Even the hats worn by other ladies at the Oscars could not hold a candle to iy. You are right Babette, we should
not hold candles anywere near to them to check it out. The hat award is yours alone……love grammmie

Glad you enjoyed Babette’s hat! I agree, she was definitely worthy of the “Best Panda Presenter” award. After all, if we didn’t give her SOME kind of award, we would never hear the end of it.

Now, now, now, please don’t pick on our Babette. It wasn’t her fault no one offered or wrote an Oscar winning part for her. Where are the great roles for The Rulers any more. How Green is My Panda, Gone With Panda, or a Panda Grows in Brooklynn ? And those wonderful songs such as “Moon Panda”‘ , “Pandalot” and ” The Way Pandas Were”. Then there are the great technitions—–nobody can get those tree top shots like our wonderful pandas. More time and energy is spent on Hoomans, when clearly Pandas are the support that hold up the entire industry. Love grammmie

You are absolutely right. Someone should have written, directed, and produced an Oscar winning vehicle for our dear Babette. I heard, strictly on the Q.T. from a very reliable source, that Babette and Spielberg had a “misunderstanding” after a little “thang” and that she had been black and white listed in Hollywood. It happens, you know. Thanks for mentioning some of my favorite movie classics!

It was my pleasure to make the mentions, there were more but I didn’t want to hog the spotlight.
Now about this Spielberg thing…….is she blackballed in the white parts or white balled…..well you can see where the confusion comes from, is it the young and restless generation that is the cause of all the problems, or did “S” find out Babs has been talking to Lucas??? She is, after all, the up and coming lovely Panda, while he is an old dude, so old he doesn’t remember that he is old??? Hollywood has always belongs to the young…….not as young as Mr. Wu…..but he could be a star, and our Ms. Bai has friends and relatives the whole world over, and is a fan of Babette….well she will be again when The Gaoster gets his ears reattached…..I mean fixed…..a little thing about Babette’s beauty, and Gao being a male bear. Chat with you soon…..love grammmie
